Great pet friendly Japanese restaurant
Ukiah Japanese SmokehouseWe had a great dinner at Ukiah Japanese Smokehouse last week. Dogs are welcome in their outdoor (partly covered) patio. Staff was very attentive and doted on our little toy poodle. The location is just a short walk from the center of the city and the food was outstanding. Recommend either with or without your beloved pet!

Excellent attentive restaurant but beware of outside events
PosanaThe outside seating for Posana accommodates all dogs. The staff was very attentive and the food is excellent. However, check the local calendar for events in the adjacent Pack Square which is the heart of Asheville. We didn't think to do that and there was a major event that had more than usual noise for this busy location, think revving motorcycles and muscle cars not to mention blasting car stereos that were all shaking the building. We needed to leave as soon as we were finished due to this unfortunate occurrence that is outside of the restaurants control. Much better when there are no events next door. The noise was the only reason for us to mark this down to 4 bones.
