Staff was marginal, very run down hotel

La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Auburn Worcester

Upside was the Nice dog walk area in front of the hotel, which was good because while I was checking in my wife Could walk the pup. Downside started during check in, staff couldn’t find the reservation, I pulled up the BringFido reservation on my phone and got a blank stare. The check in desk thought I was attempting to get a copy of my key for some reason. After explaining twice that I had JUST gotten to the hotel and was trying
To get checked in they couldn’t locate a reservation. Apparently it was somewhere else and it was found after 5 minutes of looking. (Dog was still walking) I got keys and went to the room but the keys wouldn’t work. So back to front desk which was empty and had to track down an attendant. I got new keys made and got into room. The room furniture was very worn and the obvious novice drywall repair job on the bathroom and main room walls. Accompanied it. (Didn’t care it had been a long day at that point). Breakfast was nothing to write home about , and we ended up just getting coffee and some wife grabbed some fruit. No dog treats in evidence (or bacon which works in a pinch). I didn’t expect much and I wasn’t let down or impressed.
