Friendly staff but rough around the edges

Overall, as far as pet-friendly lodging goes, the hotel is a good, low-cost option for traveling with your pet. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was pretty good.

The room was decent but there were some challenges. The room temperature was very hot when we arrived (88 degrees). I tried to adjust it but the wall thermostat and the fan unit near the window wouldn't work. We ended up opening the window to cool down the room (this was in January so it was pretty cold outside).

The elevator stopped working sometime in the night. We were on the 2nd floor so it wasn't a big deal to walk up and down one flight.

Additionally, the fire alarm started beeping around 11pm. After calling the front desk, they sent someone up who said it was a low battery and he didn't have anymore. He ended up removing the alarm altogether. Effective but not the safest route.
