Not for all dogs!
Whiteside Mountain National Recreation TrailWe planned on taking our chihuahua mix on this hike, but was forewarned by a local that there were lots of steep up and downs on this hike. I’m glad we didn’t take our little guy there. It had been raining the week before and the trail was muddy and you have to maneuver between and up and down over rocks. I wouldn’t recommend this for small dogs. one gal told me she had a backpack to put her pup in to handle some of the trail. There were several larger dogs there and they had no problem.

Great Pet-Friendly Hotel
Wingate by Wyndham Valdosta/Moody AFBSaw the other reviews on way to NC. This is really a nice, clean and very pet-friendly spot. They have a small dog park so you can get your dog a little running time after a long drive, they let you have your pet out on the patio near the pool and charge a nominal pet fee. They also had a free beer and wine happy hour and offer breakfast in your price. Plenty of restaurants nearby.
