Great Dog Friendly Hotel

Super 8 by Wyndham Stroudsburg

Wife, 2 dogs and I stayed overnight so we could a couple of day hikes in on the AT. Easy check-in. Staff was all very friendly. Excellent amenities for the dogs. Fridge and microwave were a nice surprise.
Nothing bad to say. You need a place by the Water Gap or the University, this is your place.

Don't bother unless...

Motel 6 Lawrenceville NJ

The reason I gave it 2 bones is that it was incredibly convenient for our 2 dogs. If you have difficult pups you may want to consider as you get a slider that leads out to large grass area. The other reason is the no dog free of course. Finally, solid selection for TV channels if that is your thing. That being said, there is trash everywhere. Broken glass. A couple of needles. Very very shady even in the daytime. Wife and I booked as we had a large flood in our house and had to bail so restoration could begin. Wife and I both work from home anyway so we figured we would get the dogs away from the noise and we could get some work in at the same time. Wifi was really poor. Expected that. Room was very dated. Beds were not comfortable. Bedding was on the dingy side. No chair, had to steal one from another room. Fridge was very weak. Bathroom was adequate. We rented for 2 days but 5 hours was enough for us. In this area I have to imagine there are other options.

Got what we expected (UPDATED 12/31/2020)

Crowne Plaza Albuquerque an IHG Hotel

Since site will not let me add second review for second stay I will amend this one.
I bumped from 4 to 5 for several reasons but mainly the staff. Super helpful and really nice. Also, the complimentary breakfast was spot on.
If you are travelling with dogs, especially socially challenged ones, this is your spot.

Extremely friendly front desk. Rigid following of current mask policies by both staff and guests.

Great location. Easy on and off. Adequate area for dogs to do their business and room location was decent.

Room was nice size and everything worked as expected. Nothing stands out but very solid option all around.

Was what it was

Red Roof Inn Louisville Fair and Expo

It was a Red Roof. Brief staff interaction was fine.
The other comments about the place being sketchy are somewhat warranted. I had a guy try and bum a cigarette 3 times during our stay as he spent the whole time hanging out by the steps on his phone. Also an uncomfortable exchange between a couple in the parking lot as they were having a disagreement.
Room was small but fine. TV didn't really work well.
Biggest issue was laundry facilities. Don't bother. One of our dogs had an issue in the car and we needed to wash a few blankets and my coat. 1 washer and both dryers did not work. The one washer working was worthless and actually shredded my coat.
No breakfast or options to buy.
Adequate area for dogs to handle their business.
Not impressed and will look elsewhere next endeavor.

Exactly what I expected.

Red Roof Inn PLUS+ Wichita East

Second night on a 4 day from PA to AZ with 2 dogs.
It's a Red Roof Plus so it was a bit nicer than the one we stayed at in Louisville the night before.
Staff was incredibly friendly. They provided prepackaged breakfast which was a nice surprise as I have no expectations with COVID.
Room was nice size. Everything was decent and worked.
Very nice areas for the dogs to do their deal.
I would absolutely stay here again whenever we pass through.

Great 1st stop on a long trip

Baymont by Wyndham Indianapolis

Great facility for the pups. Room location was great and plenty of room for your dogs to deal and roam.

Really friendly front desk and maintenance staff. Consistent adherence to mask policies by staff and most guests.

Convenient location. Decent sized room and everything worked as expected.

Will definitely stop again when the need arises.

Not impressed

DoubleTree by Hilton Tulsa Downtown

This was our second stop in what was a long out and back. Very much looking forward to this, specifically as with the Hilton name it was the to be the "nicest" stop of our 7 hotel trip.

Convenient location.

Nothing for your dogs whatsoever. No real area on their property for your dogs. Additionally, they put us on the 8th floor which seemed odd to me as every other single solitary hotel I have ever stayed at with our dogs was 1st or 2nd floor.
Made getting my socially challenged Pittie downstairs a bit of a challenge.

In spite of the signs, there seemed to be no enforcement of mask policies. Staff without masks or with masks pulled below noses and virtually no guests were wearing.

TV was old and did not function properly.

7 hotels in 9 days and this one really stood out as just not coming through. I have to think there are better options and will look for one when we travel back in Spring.

Excellent for our needs

La Posada Lodge & Casitas Ascend Hotel Collection

This was our halfway point of out and back between Philly and Tuscon. We had our 2 dogs, one of which is a socially challenged Pittie and the second who is only 10lbs but is just perpetually angry.

Anyway, we loved this place. Great areas for your pups to do their deal. Adjacent to a wash and walking path that are easily accessible with a little creativity.

The room is fine for what it is. On the small side and amenities are a bit dated. That being said, we had a balcony with a great view. Lower rooms had patios which were also nice. This was huge for us.

Staff was incredibly nice and COVID was followed everywhere I saw by staff and guests, which made the wife and I very comfortable.
They served breakfast which was nice since most hotels are bailing for the time being. Very well done and staff were extremely conscious.
Great location.

This will become our home base when visiting our daughter and we look forward to staying again in the Spring.

Got what we expected

La Quinta by Wyndham Midland North

Adequate room for our two dogs to do their business. Room conveniently located to area for those who have socially awkward pups such as us.

Extremely friendly staff. Front desk both at check in and next morning were very personable and just nice.
Staff followed COVID procedures and I did see a staff member ask a guest to wear a mask walking down the hall.

Room was decent. Everything worked. Definitely off the beaten track and not the most convenient location.

Got what we expected

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Little Rock - Bryant

Stayed overnight with the two dogs. Adequate area for handling their business.
Staff was decent. Inconsistent following of COVID prevention measures and in spite of signs stating otherwise, no enforcement of the mask policy posted.

Nice sized room and convenient to outside area. Everything worked as expected. Staff provided breakfast bags in lieu of breakfast not being served which was a nice gesture.
Would consider staying again if passing through.

Got what we expected

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Cincinnati NE - Mason

We have two dogs, including Pittie who is a bit socially challenged. Great accommodations and very adequate grass area for business.
Extremely friendly staff. Followed COVID protocols which was appreciated. Quick stay overnight on the last leg of a out and back drive.
Room was comfortable and everything worked as expected.
Cannot rate breakfast as there was none due to COVID.
Great location, quick off and on to the highway.

Would stay again.
