Outdated with room issues

Looks can be deceiving is the best line for this hotel. I should have known from the moment we walked in to the lobby, the whole place might have not changed in 20 years probably. I must say that the staff was super friendly and accommodating, but we were given the keys to someone’s room, a 10 sec argument with no major issues other than frustration. Then a VERY slow elevator - we were on the 12th floor. Then when we got our new room, it was just old, beds were clean but the kitchen not so much, there was oil residue on the stove and counter next to it. The bathroom was probably the original set up with incandescent lights, the towel hook was missing on the door but the holes remained.
If this was a 60$ a night hotel I think I it would have been spot on. But that was not the case at almost 250$ a night. Worst money spent on hotels ever.
