Fine for the price - terrible security
La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Phoenix NorthSo we needed a conveniently located pet friendly hotel, we knew it wasn't going to be amazing for the $80 we paid. Room was listed as king, was two doubles. That's fine. Run down and worn but super clean. That was great. Very friendly front desk people on check in, area to walk dogs with grass in parking lot. That being said, at MIDNIGHT a security guard entered our room without knocking and demanded proof that we paid for the room WITH A LIT CIGAR HANGING OUT OF HIS MOUTH and obviously no mask. I had to get out of bed and show this guy my room receipt to make him go away. I then called the front desk and the guy that answered the phone told me "oh sorry my bad, we had a computer glitch." OUTRAGEOUS. The next morning when checking out I spoke with manager who apologized and offered to refund the room WHICH THEY NEVER DID. Unbelievable. We got no sleep.
