Nice and welcoming
Drury Inn & Suites Kansas City AirportVery welcoming to us and our pup. Felt very safe walking in the well lit grassy areas. Staff was really nice too!
Easy location
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Manhattan an IHG HotelEasy to get to. New hotel. But the toilet wouldn't flush without taking the lid off the take. Told front desk, but no maintenance on weekends. She said she checked and it worked just fine. NOT!
Worn out and dirty
Days Inn by Wyndham HaysDesk clerk was awesome. Carpets stained, fixtures broken and worn out. Lamps broken.Time to close down and renovate. Gross.
Great location
Extended Stay America Suites Kansas City AirportPretty basic accommodations but pet friendly. Staff was friendly and helpful. Located near some decent restaurants. Reasonably priced.
Nice place with a few surprises
Comfort Inn & Suites Hays I-70Well kept property, friendly staff and good location. Beds were comfortable and sheets were soft! There is a doggie area outside and it is also clean and neat. Location for amenities was good. Our little pup found some surprises in our room which made us nervous about the COVID cleaning level. He found a dead, petrified frog (about 2" long)under the sink cabinet which I had to pry out of his mouth and flush. Then he continued to find two different species of dead bugs. I took the larger one to the desk and was told it was a beetle. However, my point was if this room had been cleaned more intensely than usual why was I finding dead things in it? The carpet had obviously not been cleaned as there were "oops" spots on it in several places.
I really felt that they should have at the least returned my non-refundable pet deposit since obviously it had not been cleaned all that well prevously. Desk offered us a move to the second floor, which with a dog and having already settled in was not reasonable. I am thankful I was able to extricate the frog before it was swallowed as who knows what would have followed from that event. Things like that can be dangerous for a pet.
Train in process of derailing
La Quinta by Wyndham St. Louis WestportThe only good thing is that the pet friendly room was on the first floor. Property was dirty and lacked basic maintenance. Trash and cigarette butts all over outside. If they would sweep or rake outside then all of the dirt and leaves wouldn't tack into the carpet. Pee stains on the carpet floor by doors, chairs in room were filthy, bed skirting was dirty. Sketchy happenings outside in the dark. Mulitple cars parked in back, running with people hanging around. Doogie area was dirty with poo and cigarette butts. Poo collection barrel was overflowing. Carpet in room made my socks black on the bottom. The lack of pride and management in this property was glaring. Loud room next to us with in and out about every 30 minutes was causing our dog to bark. Finally at 2:30am I called front desk to complain. So the door slamming quieted, but then the smoke detector went off in that room. Zero response from desk staff. Finally things quieted down about 4am. Worst hotel in I've stayed at in years. My first and last stop at a La Quinta. DO NOT STAY here.
Easy breezy
Comfort Inn & Suites Riverview Near Davenport and I-80This was a nice spot to stop. Didn't have a designated area for me though and I have no idea why my room was on the second floor, but I liked learning how to ride the elevator. My people said the Beirstube restaurant was great. I only got to sit in the car while they went there.
Great spot!
Best Western Plus York Hotel & Conference CenterWould definitely stay here again. Friendly, clean, easy access for dog to go in and out to the designated dog area. Having Applebees on site was perfect after a long day on the raod. It was our pups first hotel experience and it was perfect for him and us.
