Great option
Hilton Garden Inn SalinaI stayed with my dog when traveling cross country and the highway closed due to weather. The room was clean and had a small fridge and microwave. The gym was nice. There was a large grassy area for dogs with a poop bag station and bucket. Reception was friendly. They had happy hour specials which was nice. Breakfast is not included, but offered for a fee. I would stay again.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff
Drury Plaza Hotel St Louis St CharlesWe were only here for a night but it was a great stay. Location has many options for restaurants. Hotel was clean, well maintained. Free breakfast, dinner, and happy hour drinks. They had a doggy bag with treats and poop bags on arrival. The only downside was the sparse area for dog walking. There is a grassy area available, but it's next to the highway and not really designed for dog walks. It is adequate for pups to take care of their business, and I otherwise highly recommend this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Nice for a quick overnight
Hampton Inn Terre HauteWe stopped for a night on a cross country drive, and it was great for that purpose. The front desk was excellent, and put us on the first floor since we had the pup, and apologized the room was next to the front desk (it wasn’t noisy, but we appreciated the thought). Free breakfast was really nice. Plenty of outdoor space for potty breaks. Close to the highway. The room is a bit worn and dated, but not dirty. Would stay again.

Really nice option
Hilton Garden Inn HaysConvenient to the highway. Lots of brightly lit parking. Nice hotel, clean, gym is small but has what you need. Our room was spacious. Had a microwave and mini fridge. They have a restaurant and bar which was nice. My only (minor) qualm is that breakfast is not included. I’d definitely stay here again.

Comfort Inn & Suites St Louis - O'FallonWe were very pleased with our stay, just a quick stop overnight driving cross country. Nice grassy area for dogs. Lemon water and iced tea in the lobby were a nice touch.

Great stay
Colorado ChautauquaWe stayed in a one bedroom cottage. It is incredibly dog friendly, there is a park just down the road. And miles and miles of hiking trails. The air conditioning worked great during the summer heat. We had a full fridge and kitchen. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice option
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Alamosa an IHG HotelWe really enjoyed our stay here. They have dog bones in the lobby for check in (and cookies for adults). Really nice free breakfast. Our room was spacious (king bed with a couch and chair in separate seating area), had a decent sized fridge and microwave, and an extra sink outside the main bathroom. It was clean and quiet. The only reason I didn't give it 5 bones is because the dog relief area was fairly small and there wasn't a great spot to walk the pup. There was however a dog poop bag station in the small grassy spot. Will stay again.

Nice hotel
Drury Inn & Suites St. Louis St. PetersThe hotel was nice. Free hot breakfast and dinner and the rooms were clean. There was a small plot of grass for dogs, but no real sidewalks to go for a trot. It was very convenient to the highway, but essentially in a mall parking lot. I would stay here again.

Very nice
Aloft Las ColinasThis is our second time staying here with our pet, and we enjoy Aloft. The rooms are new, clean, and modern. Great location. There is a small dog walk area, and it’s not too far from a decent walking path. They have a pet water bowl in the lobby, they are not only pet friendly, they welcome you to bring your pet. We will stay here again when we return to the area.

Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Topeka West KSStopped on a cross country trip for a night. Easy highway access. Lots of parking. Clean. Small area to walk the dog. Nice breakfast. Would stay again.

Tolerable for one night
Red Roof Inn Washington DC LaurelWe stayed for one night due to moving. It was tolerable, but I would not recommend. The pro: location is close to 197 and 295. It was inexpensive! The cons: The room smelled musty and like stale cigarettes (it is supposedly non-smoking). Our first floor room (and all the ground floor rooms) are 6 feet from the parking lot and we heard cars honking, loud music, and people talking all night long, it was LOUD. It's also very close to the highway and you hear that noise as well. The lobby was pretty dirty. I would not have stayed a second night.
