Rooms are clean. Family running it is very nice but the grounds are not dog friendly. About 3 sq yards of artificial turf for dogs to use. Piles of cigarette butts along walkways to rooms. Latch on door didn't work (jammed a chair under it for the night). Grounds and pool are really in dire disrepair. Bright side? It was quiet.

Nice staff, comfortable and clean room. No complaints.

No longer open for business
Went a year ago, was good

Grass everywhere. Clean rooms and premises. Very safe, quiet location. Comfy beds at a good price.

Very dog friendly
Friendly staff, very casual.
Order inside, they bring your meals outside.
Food is fine. Not why you go- go to hang out.

Clean, simple. It's a budget motel. Don't have high expectations, you won't be disappointed. One night stay w dog for fair price. Stayed here twice now w my Great Dane on way across America. It's fine, safe. No frills, no scary guys in parking lot.

A little noisy from both highway and due to thin walls. Plenty of grass around building. Safe, clean, an comfortable

This place could be so cute. Tons of grass all around. Clean rooms, bathrooms are fine. Rooms are dark.
Pictures are not same as what the rooms look like now. Safe area but was really odd that 2 cars in the parking lot were up on cinderblocks. A strange building in back of hotel (on the property) with a little fenced in area w 4 little dogs; one lady washing her dog in the center of the yard using the hotel garden hose. This place really could use an update. Stay again? If just for one night.

Will easily book again. Grass everywhere. Comfortable bed, super clean rooms. Nice area near a wonderful walking trail.

This is the ONLY hotel regardless of $ I have visited in 2 years which has had daily maid service. Plenty of grass for dog. Zero people hanging out in the parking lot. Both room and grounds are clean. They are in process of updating rooms; mine was old version but still fine. Why 4 bones? The busy adjacent road is at thoroughfare for emergency vehicles and noisy geared up cars. 4 bones for the price. It's a budget motel, not the Ritz.

Super nice little upscale hotel downtown. Restaurant for dinner. Rooms are terrific and comfortable.
Beds are very high, great ac, very clean. Very safe area - can walk along the Erie Canal across the street or just around the block. Will easily stay again.

This is 2nd time I've stayed here since it is so close to where I needed to be. Rooms are very clean. Housekeeping does a wonderful job. The area and other guests are the problem. Guests were scary and the adjoining property/streets are filthy. There is plenty of grass, but walking the dog is dangerous because of all the broken glass up and down the streets, sidewalks and in the grass.
Furniture and open bags of trashed dumped on the opp side of the entrance street. Guests were hanging outside the rooms. One lady looked like she was piercing her friend's ear! I was too scared to leave my room to walk the dog after a woman in the room next door made the most bizarre and aggressive comments about my dog not wanting to stay there, implying he was too posh? I have no clue how many people were sharing that room.
I have a huge, 140 lb, black male dog. I travel most weekends w him for dog shows. Have to stick to budget hotels. Some have been really, really dodgy but this was 1st time I felt like I couldn't even leave my room to walk him. Saving $20/$30 a night for that experience is not worth it AT ALL.

Went out of my way while on road trip... grrr

Comfy bed, clean room, quiet, nice cleaning staff, grass everywhere, no parking lot groupies, non-smoking hotel (enforced). Even 1st floor room felt safe; walking dog at night is fine. Stayed 2 nights for dog show. Will book again.

Interior doors, immaculate, comfy mattress, nice towels. Most other modest price hotel chains, like La Quinta, should be taking notes and maintain their properties like this one. Stayed one night traveling across country with my Dane. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Super comfy bed, nice staff, clean rooms, clean property. Just on other side of highway from the dog show at the fair grounds, so very convenient. No homeless/drug users hanging about the parking lot. Good for the price

Plenty of pathways for dog walking. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Good price. Very noisy on Friday and Saturday night. Horrible, the worst. Up and down the street were motorcycles, music blaring with topped-out bass, hot rods, engines at full throttle, cars racing, absolute insanity for an area of hotels filled with families. Never, never again on the weekend. The area's hotel managers really need to step up together and get the police involved. The top level of noise continued until 1:30-2:00 in the morning.

The grounds are so clean! Even around the dumpster not a spec of trash. It is near hwy so there is some truck noise. Rooms are cleaned daily (nowhere else does that happen these days). Was in town for a dog show w xl dog- not an issue. Owners even asked how was the show going. Great option for budget hotel for night or 2. Beds are FIRM. Female traveling w dog= felt safe. No guys hanging out in the parking lot or stairs... Ladies, you know what I mean. No pot filling the air. Would go back again if in town for another dog show.

Grassy land all around the hotel. Quiet building. Clean room w fridge and mw if needed. Not a grungy carpet kind of place (you know what I mean!). No scary people hanging around outside. Actually, no one hanging around outside at all. 4 bones for the price of hotel. Not a 5 bone hotel if more expensive. Keep it in perspective! I would return if passing thru area again. Was just a one night stay during road trip w XXXL dog.

Reiterating what other reviewers have already posted:
Dog menu(ckn, brown rice and mixed vegetables for my guy)
Large, roomy and covered outdoor space
Friendly staff
Health dept conscious (don't touch dogs if you are a server, and for dog owners, a funny list of do's and don't "to keep health inspectors happy"...)
Oh, my lunch was good too
XXL dogs welcomed just as much as the little guys

It's very clean in the room. But, no maid service if staying less than 3 nights so trash bags are in the halls and next to trash bin near elevator by the end of each day. Not scary but the location is weird and most of the guests are young men/contractors. The doors slam shut almost non stop up and down the hall - the walls would shake. Thus was true all 3 nights I stayed. If the doors aren't slamming it is quiet. Location: the hotel is literally in the center of 2 railroad tracks (What city planner approved that???). Where to walk the dog? At night I went across the street to the city offices where there are grass areas and decent lighting. During the day I crossed the RR tracks to the walk the dog in the neighborhood which had sidewalks.

Plenty of safe areas across the back street w grass (business park). Street in front is very busy. Indoor corridors. Fairly quiet if get a room off the main street. Clean. Will need to ask front desk for shampoo etc. Nice staff.

Was very pleasantly surprised! Not at all the 'motel' vibe I was expecting. Room was cozy, super clean, very well outfitted. The towels were thick, fridge, mwave, quiet room, friendly check in, grass around for little, night walks and field w neighborhood in back for longer (and safe) day walks. I really want expecting much but now I would book again when crossing the Nevada desert (mattresses are firm and sheets are a cotton/poly blend but that doesn't bother me). This isn't your 5 star regency hotel but a fine, dog friendly motel for a one night stop. (XL dogs are welcomed too:)

Interior corridors, plenty of grass, good neighborhood for longer walks, very clean room, quiet. Welcomes even the giant dogs. Did not hear a peep through the night. Cheerful front desk clerk and housekeeping.
Cheap and cheerful, felt safe traveling alone w my dane. Was able to get a room on upper floor.

But, not a dog friendly neighborhood for walking. Accepting dogs isn't the same as "dog friendly." Too pricey for what you get, where you are.

Housekeepers do a good job. Sketchy area, esp if solo. Chop shop (auto) in back with groups of guys hanging out until late at night. Busy street, homeless on the sidewalk. No place at all to walk dog after dark w exception of 10x8 grass area near ck in door. Overpriced. Manager was friendly at late check in but couldn't help with where to walk a dog. "Maybe next to the pool?..." AC worked but took 3 hrs to cool down the room. For almost $200, I expected more.

Sigh, we tried to go on a Friday night. Summertime and the patio is closed. Maybe short staffed?

Good wifi and phone signal. Very nice interior. Quiet hotel. Comfy bed. Dog slept like a rock ;) It's right off the highway but quiet. Good for one night along the way.

Front desk clerk was super helpful when i checked out early. Room was clean. Hard to stay here though. The walls are so thin you hear people next door just moving around and the dogs sniffing under the adjoining door. Cover on bed had hole in it, pillow was so old the filling was compacted into a lumpy sq. Other guests would leave their pickup trucks running and running immediately outside the door during very late hours and again early in the morning while talking loudly with their buddies right outside the motel doors . I really tried to make it work but if you can't sleep there isn't much point. Sorry but trying to save the extra $ wasn't worth it.

XL Dog friendly and great management .
100% smoke free hotel - There was strong pot smoke smell in hallway and manager handled it so tactfully with the smoker.
