Relaxing stay
Hilton Garden Inn South BendThe staff was courteous and helpful at check in and check out. The room was comfortable. There was a lot of dog walking areas.

Terrible hotel
Baymont by Wyndham Dayton NorthThe check-in was fine. The motel has exterior doors. My wife had concerns over the clients in the parking lot while I was registering. The room smelled of old cigarette smoke, the secondary security device was missing and you could tell that it was removed with force. The key swipe door lock and the dead bolt looked new. The room needed to be cleaned more. We did not stay long enough to see if the bathroom was working properly. The room temperature controller was missing off the base plate. The heat and ac were controlled from the local panel, which part of a discussion between a client and the night manager. We went to eat before unloading the car and decided to move on to another location closer to our destination. We went back to return to keys and while we were checking out, a local sheriff deputy said he wouldn’t stay there either. We made reservations at the Baymont in Indianapolis where we stayed 2 years ago and enjoyed our stay there even during COVID.

Dog Friendly
Baymont by Wyndham IndianapolisThe motel was clean and ready for our overnight stay with our Golden Retriever Riva. The staff was friendly and helpful. A substitute breakfast was provided due to the COVID-19 restrictions. We did not use the pool, but the hot tub in the room was great. Thank you.
