Property undergoing updates
A Richland Inn LewisburgThe price we paid was too high. #1 Beds were uncomfortable; lumpy mattresses with noisy box springs. Bedspreads were made in 1965. #2 Towels were yellow and we had only one hand towel between us. #3 Feral cats (4) were outside our door. #4 The floors were CLEAN!
ALMOST Perfect
Hampton Inn & Suites HopeWhen did the complimentary cookies stop? The room 323 was lovely with a view. The toilet needed a minor water flow adjustment since it cycled every 3 minutes to fill bowl. Our room did not have regular coffee, only decaf. The alarm had been set by a previous guest at 5:14 a.m. Ugh.
Will Return
Sleep Inn & Suites Dyersburg I-155Good location. Clean room. Updated interior. Friendly reception. Maintained lawn for Fido.
Property NOT Ready
Extended Stay America Suites Springfield SouthWe checked in at 3:00 p.m., room was not ready for 60 minutes. Floors were sticky from not rinsing dirty mop water, plus dead bugs under kitchen cabinets. Room smelled musty. The air conditioner had strange sounds like baby crying or squeaking door after condenser cycled off.
Muskogee Must
Candlewood Suites Muskogee an IHG HotelThe check-in process was easy and friendly and professional. The desk clerk was helpful and said if we need anything to let her know. We did need something for our room and she delivered quickly. Our room was clean, cool, and comfortable.
Overpriced AND less than pet friendly
Silver Saddle MotelWe found Silver Saddles to be an old tarnished motel with a 1960’s ambiance. The bed linens were grey and dingy and not soft. The decor was shabby (not chic). The window curtain was not attached at the stationary side. The a/c cover for control was broken. The bed spread had a cigarette burn in the middle in a NON-smoking room. Why not pet friendly? There is no place for a dog to pee. No grass, trees or bushes in the property. We had to walk next door to Sinclair gas. Sign around the rock garden said not an area for dogs. The one tiny area at the street front was about 8’X8’ and was used by homeless people to eliminate their own waste. The police tape marked “Do Not Cross” was left tied to the fence for anyone to imagine the worst. The breakfast time was changed from 6:30 to 7:00. The ice machine was on the bottom deck in poorly lit walkway. Good thing the room coffee was decent. We had a good refrigerator for food. The location was definitely the positive point since it was immediately located if I-24. The young clerk who checked us in was polite with answers. Just two nights here at $155 each night was two nights too many.
Nice property staff
Hampton Inn LaramieWe had our dog with us and we needed grass for the dog relief area for him. The rocks were all that were available so we walked next door to the vacant land. The staff was kind and courteous for our request of a luggage cart.
Nice property staff
La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Steamboat SpringsEasy to park our camping trailer. We had an upstairs corner room which gave us additional sunlight. Bed and chairs were comfy. Bathroom and kitchenette were clean. We could have asked for another set of bath towels for 2 nights, we had just one set for each of us. The property was well lit and easy to get to dog walk area. Staff was courteous.
