Not a pleasant place to stay
Quality Inn DaltonThe location was great. Off the highway, places to walk the dogs, but the hotel is actually a motel, the door looked as if someone was trying to break in, the door handle had to be jiggled up to open, the bathroom had mold and a falling ceiling from a leak upstairs, there was 25 years of dust on all the edges of the 25 year old carpet, the furniture would not even be accepted as a donation it was so beat up, the TV would only show a nice color of yellow, and quite a bit more. It was so bad, another young family checked in 2 doors down and left...the mother said she had not seen anything so disgusting before.
If it was not for our 13 hour drive we just did, and another 13 in the morning, we would of left also.

Newer and Nice!
TownePlace Suites Kansas City AirportThis hotel was new, clean, nice, and the staff was superb. All the amenities you will need for long or short term stays. The rooms offered full kitchens, comfy beds, and everything we needed for a night to crash on our cross country travel. It’s located in a cluster of many hotels, right off the highway, and by the airport, so it is quite busy. Not a place to go to if you are looking for peace and quiet. There is an area behind the hotel that you can run the pups. I highly recommend when checking in, to ask for the rooms opposite of where the BBQ pit is. When we walked into our room, there were a group of people hanging out on the bench in front of our window. Bad design by the hotel to place the party area there. The front desk attendant quickly changed us to the room across the hall. Overall, great experience for a night to sleep with the pups while traveling.

Could be cleaner
Candlewood Suites Decatur Medical Center an IHG HotelThough pet friendly, and has a potty area and field to run the dogs across the street, the hotel room itself was not the cleanest. Debris on the floor, toothpaste on the facet handle, dusty, weird stuff on the wall above the bed, strange stuff on the couch.
during the times of Covid, we travel with Lysol and I believe we used half a can in that room. The furniture was worn and damaged.
The staff was friendly and accommodating.
We were only there for a few hours to grab some sleep, and the entire time we could wait to leave.
