Great stay in Pinehurst!

Homewood Suites by Hilton Olmsted Village (Near Pinehurst)

Super pup-friendly, spacious suite, super clean and very friendly, professional staff (both front desk and housekeeping). Loved having the bar off of the lobby, complete with a beautiful fireplace which was welcoming on this last chilly weekend! The hotel is super convenient (walking distance) to grocery stores (5 min walk), and multiple restaurants and shops.

Excellent food and wine, with beautiful, expansive fenced patio

Your Pie

While in Lumberton, NC for a dog show, my Rhodesian Ridgeback and I had early dinner at Your Pie and were thrilled with the food (I had a white pizza and caprese salad) and quality wine selection by the glass. There is also a large list of craft brews available on tap. The staff were very pup-friendly and came to say to Gus with a bowl of water. We enjoyed dining on the shaded patio, and the restaurant was conveniently located to my hotel right off of Exit 22 off of I-95.

Nice pup-friendly hotel

Best Western Lumberton

Our junior suite was very clean, comfortable and convenient to multiple restaurants in the area. We were in town for a dog show and it was nice to find a hotel that was so dog friendly and clean. Dog waste stations are positioned around multiple sides of the property and there is ample green space. Approximately 3/4 mile away, there is a very nice sit down restaurant called Your Pie, whose large patio is pup friendly, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The hot breakfast was quite good -- scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage patties, potatoes, waffles, yogurt, breakfast breads/muffins, oatmeal with all the toppings. We would certainly stay at this hotel again if in town for another dog show.

Excellent stay and updated room

Residence Inn by Marriott Somerset

Wonderful hospitality from everyone I met at the hotel! And they absolutely made a huge fuss over Gus, my 2-1/2 yr old Rhodesian Ridgeback. The hotel has ample green space and a pet area (with stocked waste bags). It is also on a very quiet street. The room looked like it had been recently updated — very clean and comfortable. I was also impressed with the breakfast, where the hot dishes were served by hotel staff. The crustless spinach and Swiss cheese quiche was delicious! We will definitely plan to stay here again the next time we’re in town for lure coursing field trials!

Fabulous food and great hospitality

Stateside Tap + Tavern

My 2 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback and I had a wonderful time at Stateside Tap and Tavern yesterday evening on their very spacious and beautiful patio. The food was delicious (I had the Burrata salad and carnitas tacos) and they have a very respectable beer and wine / cocktail selection. The restaurant staff made it a point to spoil Gus at every opportunity and I’m sure he met at least 10 new friends during our visit! I would definitely recommend you visiting this establishment when you are in Somerset with your pup(s).

Super clean, quiet

Homewood Suites by Hilton Leesburg

Excellent quiet location within 10-15 min walk (3 min drive) to excellent restaurants downtown. Our studio suite was perfect for my Rhodesian Ridgeback and me when we were in town for a lure coursing event at Oatlands Plantation (12 min drive to the venue) last weekend. Excellent green space / relief areas around the hotel for pup walks/relief areas. Very clean and well maintained property, inside and out. Also, excellent breakfast options for those on various diets, including low-carb, which I appreciated. Our studio suite was on the 1st floor and only a 30 sec walk to an exterior door, so super convenient. Friendly staff — and we even had daily housekeeping without asking! This is something we aren’t used to experiencing post-COVID. We will definitely plan to stay here again when in town for future field trials at Oatlands Plantation.

Fabulous hotel in convenient downtown location

Carnegie Hotel & Spa

Very helpful, friendly and courteous staff who gave Gus a bunch of love. I even could bring him to have dinner with me on the deck of Wellington’s, the hotel’s excellent restaurant! We were in town for a lure coursing event in Limestone, and am SO happy that we read the reviews about this hotel and decided to stay here! The rooms are quite spacious and beautifully appointed.

Great place to stay for AKC dog show

Drury Inn & Suites Greensboro

Wonderful staff, lots of breakfast options (even for keto folks), very nice evening ‘happy hour’, our suite was wonderfully sized for our pups, and everyone went out of their way to be friendly and helpful! On top of this, the hotel is a 5-7 min drive to the Coliseum —- which was perfect for this 3-day dog show. I also want to put a big ‘shout out’ to the city of Greensboro, which appears to be one of the best dog-friendly cities in the southeast. We ate out every day with our pups (on restaurant patios) at local restaurants and had wonderful friendly service and great food. Each of these 3 restaurants were within a max 10 min drive from the hotel: Lindley Park Filling Station, Bites and Pints, and Natty Greene’s Pub and Brewing Company.

Beautiful, spotless pup-friendly boutique hotel

The Abernathy of Clemson

Located on the beautiful campus of Clemson University, directly across the street from the football stadium! The campus provided a fabulous venue for walking Gus, my Rhodesian Ridgeback! Our hotel room was spotless -- it looked brand new. I particularly liked the larger than typical refrigerator/freezer and microwave in the large wet bar. he cafe and restaurant/bar off of the lobby were great to grab some breakfast and tapas/drinks in the evening. We also really enjoyed being downtown and so close to excellent restaurants. We particularly liked the 3 minute walk to The Esso Club, which also has pup- friendly seating outside on their patio. The staff at The Abernathy were particularly hospitable, and a jar of doggy biscuits at the front desk was noticed immediately by Gus! We will definitely be staying here the next time we're in Clemson!

Great 1st experience at Craddock Terry Hotel

Craddock Terry Hotel Lynchburg a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Spent the weekend hiking outside Bradford, VA and spent my first night in Lynchburg with my niece and 14-mo old Rhodesian Ridgeback, Gus! On check-in, I was already overwhelmed with the dog-friendliness of this hotel (Gus received a care package, complete with multiple packages of biscuits and potty bags!). Our room was spotless, huge, and very updated. The beds were amazing (my niece commented that they highly exceeded her expectations and she wanted to take one of them home!). We loved the over-sized bathroom —- complete with a large, double-sink vanity, European spa bath essentials, a huge separate room with very large walk-in shower and wall separating toilet area. We loved the exposed-brick wall and huge vaulted ceiling, complete with wooden beams. We also thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing and delicious dinner last night on the patio of Waterstone’s with fabulous food, drinks, service and atmosphere (with Gus on his crate mat next to us and enjoying a few bits!). We will certainly be back to enjoy more that the Blue Ridge has to offer and to further explore this dog-friendly area of Lynchburg!

Beautiful, pristine hotel that is SO pup friendly!

Grand Bohemian Asheville Autograph Collection

We were in town over a long Memorial Day weekend for a 4-day dog show at the fairgrounds. The staff doted all over my Rhodesian Ridgeback, Gus — in fact, I believe at least 80% of them had introduced themselves to him our 1st day! We typically would have a before dinner drink in the beautiful and very comfortable lounge /lobby area and Gus typically joined us every day for that... meanwhile getting loads of adorations from staff, other guests and visitors to the adjoining Red Stag restaurant (which was amazing, btw!). Our room was extremely clean and updated. We commented how much space there was to set up Gus’ crate compared with other hotels. Very comfortable!!! In addition, there are loads of green spaces right outside the hotel & the rest of Biltmore Village, making potty runs stress-free, even in inclement weather. Overall, this was a superb property with outstanding customer focus that we will certainly be visiting again! Many thanks to all the staff who made our trip so enjoyable!!!
