Big miss from the Kimpton this time

Our first stay at the Kimpton was fantastic! This one not so much. We valet parked the car and I requested assistance with the luggage, and instead of a bellhop being called, I was given a cart. Next, I asked for a room located in a quieter area because the last room we had there was not all that quiet - I was given a room across the hall from either maintenance or cleaning where they opened and slammed their door over and over again starting early in the morning. I then asked for a "do not disturb" door tag, and it took me calling the front desk 4 times over 2 days before we were given one. I understand the hotel was busy and may have been understaffed, but the service and experience this time didn't match up with the cost per night to stay there. We will try other pet-friendly hotels in the area when we return to Charlotte.
