Great stay

Best Western Plus Lincoln Inn & Suites

I’ve become a huge fan of Best Westerns. This hotel is excellent. Lots of grass areas for doggy business. The only issue was the dog poop previous guests left behind. Seriously people, if we want to travel with our animals, then we need to be responsible for cleaning up after them. BUT this does not detract from a wonderful nights stay with my dog. Bed was excellent, the room was quiet and large, and the staff were very nice. The room was clean and we, pooch and me, had an excellent nights sleep. Off to the next Best Western!!

Just okay

Best Western Plus Midwest Inn

I travel a lot with my dog. I look for safety first as a single traveler. The pros of this hotel are, I didn’t feel unsafe at any point walking my dog around. I didn’t think my car was in danger of being broken into at night. So safety first. That being said, I like being able to control my room temp at all times, I was able to do that. I like being close to an exit near the dog area. Room 114 where we stayed was right by the back door. Lots of good areas for the dog to do his business and for the most part it was clean.

The cons of this place, the room is a bit run down. It wasn’t as clean as it could have been. There was residue from a previous person who spit in the sink and it didn’t get cleaned out. The interior hallways, well let’s just say people don’t think about how loud they are inside. I travel with ear plugs for this reason, but my dog doesn’t. And the guy who decided it was a good idea to BANG on the door all the while yelling to be let in didn’t help. Not the hotel's fault.

And the same people at 5am decided to walk their crying baby up and down the hallway….. again, not the hotel's fault. But know that the dog floors are 1&2 and it isn’t a quiet area. I was by the pool, elevators and back door. People congregate and talk while waiting for the elevator. My room literally shared a wall with the elevator. The noise from the elevator really couldn’t be heard but the people could be. Again, not the hotel's fault. Just wish things were a bit quieter as I was tired.

Dog friendly

Rowley Farmhouse Ales

This place had a nice area for the dogs. The covered patio area was heated so we could be “outside” when it was cool weather. Food was excellent. The patio was rocks so next time I’d bring a blanket or something easier to lay on but my pup managed. Eventually (after I ate) he sat in my lap.

Would stay again

La Quinta by Wyndham Flagstaff

I travel a lot with my dog. We stayed at La Quinta by the university. It was quiet, safe and clean rooms. There are a lot of potty areas, some with turf, some with rocks, some with dirt, anything a dog would desire to find the right place to poo! They provided bags and garbage cans. I would definitely stay here again.

Best rest and kind people

Drury Inn & Suites Colorado Springs Near the Air Force Academy

My dog and I traveled across Nebraska and got to Colorado Springs where we stopped for the night. Drury Inn was the best place for us. It was reasonably priced, had dinner and breakfast and had great walking areas for my dog and I. I felt totally safe at all times. Across the road to the right of the restaurant, by the Marriott was a labyrinth and a nice walking area. We had to stay 2 nights due to high winds the next day. Drury Inn accommodated us for a second night, same room and the front desk ladies loved on my dog. We went for a walk in the Scheels across the parking area. We spent 2 hours wandering around. It was a perfect resting place after a couple long days of traveling. I would stay there again. I highly recommend it for everyone!

Great grass area for dogs

Yorkshire Motel

I’m a single traveler who takes her dog everywhere. I stayed here because of the previous reviews. The price was great, $60+dog fee + taxes. it all came to around $80. Can’t beat the price. There is a huge grassy area by the row of numbered 200 rooms. Great for the last bathroom break for my dog. The room is clean, exactly as described and is a bit noisy from the road outside. Not as quiet as I would like between rooms but again, I got what I paid for. My dog was a bit jumpy with the heater turning on, noises from next door and from outside. All in all, nice place convenient for location and a nice place to stop, sleep and move on to my next stay. They were able to accommodate me on a 4 hour before arrival time, so I’m not complaining.

LOVE THIS PLACE!

Best Western Ptarmigan Lodge

I’m going to gush here, but I’m a single traveler who travels with her trusted companion, my dog. I stopped here on my way to Minnesota and fell in love! First the view, wow! The lake is right there literally across the road. There was a great waking trail (even with snow) and we walked for a good half a mile. Then we found the grassy areas - poop heaven! Even in the snow grass peeked through and my California, not a snow dog, dog found his place to do his business. We walked back to the room and I was beat. My room had a the perfect kitchenette so I made my dinner, watched tv, looked out the window at my view and fell in love with Dillon. I would go back, stay again. Perfect for dogs, perfectly safe for a single traveler and WOW! the view.

Perfect place to stay

Best Western Paradise Inn

I am a single traveler who travels with her dog. I stayed at this Best Western because of the previous reviews. I had an amazing stay. The hotel is quiet and easy to get to. There is a perfect pet relief location by the front of the motel and was just what my dog needed. The room was large, had a tiled area by the bathroom that was perfect for the dog feeding area. My dog got some exercise because I sat in the chair and gently tossed his ball to the other end of the room and he ran to get it. There is a cafe located by the hotel and I got take away food and ate it in my room. Breakfast was included from the restaurant and was amazing! I stayed one night and would definitely stay again. The rooms were quiet. Only once (in the evening when everyone was settling in) was there a dog choir going on. But to be honest it wasn’t loud at all! They were just saying hello and good night. No other issues as far as noise happened and I would LOVE to stay here again.

Best Burger

Diablo Burger

I was traveling through Flagstaff with my dog. I needed a place I could eat and bring my dog. Diablo Burger was perfect. I was seated, my dog given water (which he needed) and got my burger… amazing burger! friendly staff and nice ambiance. would recommend and will return next time I’m in Flagstaff!
