Convenient stopover location
Hotel VernonFirst of all we believe that the Hotel Vernon is the best accommodation in Vernon. Dog friendly, decent sized clean room with basic breakfast included. Price is reasonable and the stopover here works well whilst in transit on the tedious journey from Texas to a vacation spot in the Rockies.

Nelson’s (Cocker Sp) first top 5 bone rating.!
Dodgeton Creek InnQuaint accommodations in idyllic setting, could not be more dog friendly. Spacious room and lovely communal lounge and outdoor sitting area, good dinner choices close by. Cooked breakfast at the Inn was superb. Could not ask for a better host and excellent value for money.

Pros and Cons of the Chalet Aspen
Mountain Chalet AspenPros: Pleasant and helpful staff, good location, outstanding breakfast and breakfast service (5 bones out of 5 for BF..!), nice pool area. Has parking and roof top bar. Cons: Small dark and dismal room in serious need of upgrade... not at all good value for $300 per night... ( 2 bones for the room is really generous...)

Holiday Inn Express Vernal-Dinosaurland an IHG HotelClean spacious room, dog friendly with grassy area, nice hot or cold breakfast selection. Handy stopover for Dinosaur Nat Monument. High price wise vs other motels in area but worth the extra and we would stay again.

Great pet friendly stopover
First Choice Inns at the SwellLarge clean and bright all ground floor rooms, pleasant staff and trying hard with the pick up breakfast… (best we’ve had during Covid travel times) would stay here again.
