Dirty rooms, no a/c
Staybridge Suites Davenport an IHG HotelWe stopped here while driving from Maine to Montana and were exhausted. We were looking forward to a relaxing stay, which we did not get. The a/c in our first floor room did not work (it was 99 degrees) so we moved to a new room on the 4th floor. The first room was worn and not very clean plus we found a fish hook on the floor which could have injured us or one of our dogs. The second room had hair and stains on the sheets, the tub was full of dirty rags and was covered in brown filth, the sink and counter were covered in hair, and the room had obviously not been dusted in some time. We understood they were very busy so I asked for cleaning supplies and cleaned the room myself. We checked in around 4 and were not able to relax until around 11:30. Evening staff person was very kind but based on how many issues we had, I would have expected to be offered some sort of compensation. Breakfast was relatively good, but not enough to bring us back. I would not recommend.

Clean room
Red Roof Inn BataviaRoom was very clean and appears to have been renovated, but this is an older motel. Lots of room to walk our dogs, but there appeared to be some drug activity in the parking lot shared with the nicer and more expensive La Quinta. Gas station right next door. Breakfast was meager. Ok for a one night stay.

Clean and friendly
Best Western Lee's Motor InnDid not receive the room we reserved but hotel was full so we didn’t bother complaining. Hotel is dated but room was sparkling clean. Front desk staff were fantastic. Welcomed our large dogs. Not much room to walk dogs but we made it work. Would stay again.

Welcoming staff, great outdoor space
La Quinta by Wyndham PocatelloI stayed with my German Shepherd and staff doted on her. They gave her treats, worried about her due to fireworks (she was fine, she likes to watch them) and basically made us feel welcome. My normally friendly dog barked at a man in the lobby and tried to push me away from him with her body, something she had never done in 10 years. I was embarrassed, but staff brushed it off and said I was lucky to have a protective pup. In her defense, the guy seemed to be pretty shady and was making angry faces at her. Our room was huge and clean. There are multiple grassy areas to walk pets, including a hillside with giant fir trees. I felt safe taking her out alone at night. When we left in the morning there were about 10 housekeeping staff in the hall and they spoke to both of us and made both of us feel super comfortable. This was one of my best hotel experiences with my dog. We travel extensively and will definitely stay here again and will use BringFido!
