Great place to stay
The Salem InnThe Salem Inn was a very welcoming place for our sweet girl. Upon arrival she was given a dog bed, bowl and treat, which was greatly appreciated. We felt very comfortable in the hotel and loved the breakfast provided every morning. Our only complaint was that we were moved from a family suite two weeks before our trip to two separate rooms. Both days of our trip we were woken up by construction between our two rooms at 7:15am. Not exactly the relaxing family vacation we planned for. This construction continued all day and stressed out our dog, but being that everything else was perfect we never complained. Great trip if you manage to keep the room you book and you aren't woken up by construction each morning.

Saybrook Point Resort & MarinaBeautiful hotel & location, loved being able to enjoy the time with our pup outdoors on walks and hikes, but we received none of the special treatment for her that other guests commented on. She did not receive a bone or a scarf. There was no dog bed in our room. Which is fine, but not the five star service we expected, which was disappointing.
Also, we ordered room service and at $50 it was the most expensive bagel sandwich, bagel, and two coffee breakfast I have ever ordered. We requested extra cream and received zero cream instead. For a gorgeous resort that has five star potential, it left us with a bit of a sour taste in our mouth for missing the mark on the fine touches of a quality resort.
