In town
Best Western Plus Wilkes Barre Center CityStaff are friendly and helpful. The room was basic but clean. The dog walking area is the parking lot in the rear. Breakfast and its set up was very nice. The in town location was a little awkward for us but probably good for others.

The worst
Days Inn by Wyndham StauntonPretty basic, though there was no hot water. We had a significant issue with the checking in and paying the extra $26.44 for our dogs. The check-in person ran my card three times and I guess hadn't recorded the numbers correctly. This led to several calls from the night manager. The first call was to the room phone at 10:41. I said I would take care of it in the morning. I was told that it had to be resolved at that moment. I'm not in the habit of giving my credit card numbers to a caller in the middle of the night. This led to a call at 11:05 pm from a number not associated with the motel, to my cell. Another call was placed at 12:30am. Yet more calls were placed at 2:15 AM, 5:35, and 6:10. To round out the stay we had this manger knocking at our door at 6:50. I felt stalked. I walked over to the office by 7:30 an settled the fee. I only need to things from a stay like this, a night's sleep and a warm shower. We got neither.
