The room had a smell on the bed that my dog kept sniffing, like the bedding hadn't been washed. He never did that at any other hotels. There were no restaurants nearby. Will not stay there again.

My stay was nice. Friendly helpful staff. Clean room. I would have given 5 stars except the breakfast was bad. Eggs cold. The sink drain was slow and the shower plug stuck in shower position so I couldn't give my dog a bath.

The room was ok, but the overall experience was less than I usually experience at a Drury. Both the breakfast and dinner were poor. Usually, Drurys have awesome meals included and the drinks were awful too. Construction on the highway both ways on 74. Avoid 74 this summer.

The hotel was very clean, the customer service was very good, and the maintenance was quick when I needed a replacement mini refrigerator. The room had a pretty view of a courtyard. Cons: They charged an upfront fee of $20 for breakfast but there was no restaurant, just items you could buy like from a snack case. They gave you 2 $10 coupons, but you had to try to purchase the exact amount or lose the money. Don't add the breakfast on to your room reservation. It was a very industrial cold feeling environment. The doors were very heavy and hard to open, and you had to hold down the handle on the luggage carts to keep it from locking up. Good for not rolling into anything. Hard to maneuver for an old person.

Pros: Very clean room, full size refrigerator. Breakfast was good. Easy on & off highway. Cons: Poor customer service. I had trouble with my tv and couldn't get any help from the front desk.

Pros: Excellent customer service, clean room, free full breakfast, & full dinner & 3 drinks. Cons: No freezer for frozen dog food.

Pros: Helpful front desk. Full size refrigerator. Easy drive to Historic downtown Franklin. Cons: Room not very clean, lukewarm water in shower, and bad breakfast.

It was overpriced. There was no breakfast, although I had been told that there would be one. The hotel and area were quiet. Close to a Walmart and restaurants. The room was clean. The bed was uncomfortable and it felt like something was active around my ankles. The shower had bad pressure so it was hard to get the soap off. Fortunately, I won't be returning to this area.

This was a charming 106 year old hotel, located across from the water and a beautiful walking park. Pet friendly, historical homes, convenient restaurants, museums, and gift shop all within walking distance. Ferry to Cumberland Island which I plan to take in the cooler months.

Overall this hotel was ok. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was convenient to my destination. The bad parts were filthy carpets both in the halls and in the rooms, high pet fees, and the area was a little sketchy.

This hotel was ok for a stopover, but not a relaxing location. Basically clean, but dirty carpets.

I had a 2 double bed room and only 2 towels rather than the standard 4. They also were very thin. The room was clean.

Overpriced and rundown. Dirty carpets. Loose banister. Hole in the wall in the room. Had to stuff a towel in it and sleep with the lights on, afraid something could crawl out of it. I gave it a 1 bone for the location, which was a marina environment. Very pleasant outside. Too bad the hotel was such a dump!

I had a wonderful 2 night stay. Very spacious, clean suite. Very friendly, helpful staff. Good location. Restaurants, Driftwood Beach, Georgia Sea Turtle Center, and downtown stores are all within a quick drive of the hotel. I would stay there again.

The motel was basic with a minimum clean feel to it. Air was not on, so there was a musty feel to the room. Towels on the racks were damp. Shower wouldn't drain. Construction was right in front of the motel. The motel needed a facelift on the outside. I have stayed in Baymonts before. This motel was a disappointment. The town was half closed up. Only one gas station open. The state park was completely empty, with potholes in the roads and poor signage. I would not stay there again.

I loved my 2 night stay. Wish I could have stayed longer. The room was super clean and had a wonderful atmosphere, including a fireplace, and comfortable bed. Nestled in the mountains. Close to Lake Lure. The owners/hosts were very friendly and helpful. They provide a delicious community breakfast with conversation among the guests and hosts. I will stay there again.
