Older Hotel But Nice

Very pleasant stay, clean nice room. Grassy area in front of the hotel and apparently, I'm the ONLY pet owner that cleans up after their pet. All in all a great stay but there isn't an elevator due to the hotel's age. Otherwise, we would stay there again.

Nice Stay

I had some concerns after reading some previous (not BringFido) reviews but all we needed was an overnight stay with a comfortable bed and was pet friendly, so we booked a one-night stay. The Comfort Inn Conyers was all that and more! Extremely nice room and (while I didn't), the floor in the bathroom was so clean and shiny that you could almost eat off it. There was an EXTREMELY well-lit small grassy area directly off the ground level back door for any late night or early morning trips your pet needed to "do his business."

While I always clean up after ROMEO, either previous dog owners or the grounds keeping staff at this hotel has kept that area clean of potential land mines" you could accidentally step on. There was a nice, continental breakfast which was advertised in the amenities that we were grateful for. Unfortunately, I have been extremely disappointed in the last two hotels we stayed in that ALSO advertised a free breakfast only to find out after checking in that they did not have one. There is a $25 pet fee that is collected when you check-in that is not charged during the pre-pay reservation charge so don't assume they are double charging you. We would definitely stay here again if traveling in this area and there are plenty of restaurants and gas stations close by for your needs.

Above and Beyond Service

When we arrived, their outside dog friendly patio was closed. They went ahead and opened the area just for us so we had a place to eat with our ROMEO. We were immediately asked if we needed water for ROMEO but we brought our own. Several of the staff came out to give ROMEO pets and chin rubs. The food was great and the ONLY issue was that the restaurant had moved to a new location other than what is listed. My suggestion for any location listed is to verify the address before going. It still wasn't much to adjust to the new location as the two locations are close.

Nice

We stayed in a suite with two queen beds for one night. Bed was almost too soft but for one night it was fine. Never could find the outside doggy area but there was plenty of grass for Romeo to do his business (and I always clean up after him). I do not believe there should be a MANDADORY pet fee but an agreement you sign when you arrive that states "IF" your dog causes any damage that you will be charged either a $50 small pet fee or $100 for large dogs but not a blanket charge just for having a dog. My 6 1/2 lb dog does not shed and did not cause any damage so for me to be charged a BLANKET fee was unreasonable. I would have preferred for the staff to examine the room to see that no damage had occurred and then release the requirement for the fee. I mention this since I see more and more hotels that DO NOT CHARGE a pet fee at all so this hotel should get on board.

Horrible Dog Poop Area and Room Cleanliness

The designated Dog waste area was full of "landmines" due to pet owners not picking up after their pets. It was obvious that no one at the hotel does any regular maintenance there either. The rooms are big but are in stages of disrepair with broken furniture and only a few small, uncomfortable pillows. Housekeeping does not do proper cleaning!!!!! There were old towels as well as long black hairs left in bathroom from previous guests! We decided against using the tub as it had not been cleaned either. It is obvious that their housekeepers are not monitored concerning the quality of their work. We had to request a roll of toilet paper since only a few sheets were left on the roll in the BR. The staff was the only redeeming part of this as all (but housekeeping who were very rude) were very nice and helpful. Yes, they are pet friendly and if you only plan to stay one night and can tolerate staying in a dirty room (another guest had gone through four rooms trying to get a clean room) this is an okay stay. If we come back this way we will definitely choose another property.

Great Stay in a Beautiful Historic Hotel!

This property was a WONDERFUL SURPRISE! From the first contact with staff, this was a great choice! While we were given a room on the third floor, due to the elevator it was easy to take ROMEO downstairs to do his business whenever he needed. The place is decorated very tastefully and homelike. There was always coffee, juice and ice water available in the lobby for their guests. The grounds are well maintained and there is a lovely park across a busy street that wasn't too hard to cross thanks to pedestrian buttons to control the traffic lights. They have a pool that we did not get to use but it was pristine and well maintained.

There is a dedicated, well lighted parking lot directly beside the side street the hotel is located on. I wish I had been able to stay there pre-pandemic to get the full bed and breakfast experience BUT they have adapted well to still give a "modified" experience. A lovely breakfast with items you choose delivered to your room each morning within a time frame you choose. One warning to keep in mind, this is a very old, historical building so even though it is well maintained and structurally sound, the floors do slope so don't be surprised or concerned! If we every get back to St. Petersburg or have friends who want a recommendation, this will be our ONLY CHOICE.

Website Said open, IT WASN'T!

Was craving pizza with my puppy. VERY DISSAPOINTED to find out after driving there when website stated it would open at 11 but it wasn't. Need to fix and update their website
