Great location
Red Roof Inn PLUS+ StatesvilleThere is an excellent Mexican Restaurant less than one mile from the hotel, and a quaint downtown village about 2 miles away. The beds were good if you upgrade to the premium room. A negative is that the bathtub did not drain properly. There was plenty of grassy area to walk my dog. This is good basic lodging with easy access at a major highway.

Tru by Hilton MooresvilleBe careful to also call the hotel directly if you must change your arrival date. BringFido changed their internal records of the change of my arrival date, but they never advised the hotel. The hotel then treated me as a no-show on my original arrival date. The following day when I actually arrived, I learned that the hotel charged my credit card for the full cost of the room, and that I did not have a room reserved at my actual date of arrival. The hotel did find that they had a room available, and set me up. What I have learned from this experience is to call the hotel directly in advance when making changes to an arrival date. Do not assume that the reservation agent (BringFido) will follow through with that task. In my case, it is expected that the hotel may take 7 to 15 days to refund my account for the charges from my “no-show”. In all other respects, I found Tru Hotel to be a fully acceptable lodging when traveling with my pet. While very simple accommodations, it was clean, easy and convenient, particularly when you don’t change your date of arrival from the original reservation.
