Pets are allowed on Kalaloch area beaches in Olympic National Park year-round, but they must remain on a leash at all times. There are seven more dog-friendly beach trails that lead to the ocean from Highway 101. Ruby Beach and Beach Trail #4 have accessible viewpoints and accessible vault toilets.

Long Beach

Dogs are welcome to play on the miles of open beach on the Long Beach peninsula year-round. There is an 8-foot leash within the city limits of Long Beach, but it is generally not enforced, provided dogs are controlled and well-behaved. The hard pack part of the beach is a State Highway, so you can drive right onto the beach as well, but will want to keep Fido close if you do let him/her off leash.
