The park has two separate sections, one of which is designated for small dogs weighing less than 30lbs, and the other for large dogs which exceed 30lbs. Greenway Dog Park Greenway Dog Park is a large, sand-covered dog park with plenty of room for Fido to roam in Denver, CO. There is not a separate fenced area for small dogs, so visitors should make sure their smaller dogs will not be intimidated by larger, energetic dogs. Water is not always available at the water fountains, so remember to bring water for your pup as well as waste bags to clean up after your dog. Also known as West Vail Dog Park, it is one of only two parks in the Town of Vail with a designated off-leash program. Visitors should note that the park is not fenced and dogs must be under voice control when running freely.
