The trails weave in and out of the cave-like formations and cathedral-like spires, formed over tens of millions of years. It's an ideal spot to bring Fido and check out what makes Nevada such a paradise for folk who love the outdoors. Echo Canyon State Park Echo Canyon State Park is a dog-friendly park in Pioche, NV. This park is a perfect place to bring Fido to camp, fish, hike and enjoy the beautiful Eastern Nevada scenery. The centerpiece of the park is the 35-acre reservoir with a campground, picnic area, group use facilities and boat launch. Stride with your pup on the Overlook Trail, leading to a 360-degree panorama of the canyon; relax on the easy Oak Knoll Trail that leads to great fishing spots; or jump on the Waterfall Trail, which is lined with abundant streams, warm springs, and waterfalls. Lovell Canyon Trail Lovell Canyon Trail is a 5.5-mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Las Vegas, NV that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The dog-friendly trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding and is best used from March until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail. Historic Virginia and Truckee Trail The Historic Virginia and Truckee Trail is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors. Previously an unused railroad corridor, this "rail-trail" is now a great place to walk Fido in Carson City! The map below shows a trailhead where you can pick up the Historic Virginia and Truckee Trail.
