Salishan Coastal Lodge in Gleneden Beach is the “pawfect” place to hang Fido’s leash after exploring Oregon’s windswept beaches and breathtaking Pacific scenery. Get out into nature among 250 acres of private land and enjoy the smell of the ocean on miles of pet-friendly trails. The hotel hosts a Yappy Hour on the Council House Patio, with gourmet bacon-infused water for canines and specialty cocktails for humans. Dogs receive use of food bowls and can sample organic treats at check-in. Drag yourselves away from the lodge for a night out at nearby Snug Harbor Bar And Grill, where both patios are pet-friendly and pups can sample a slice of bacon from the menu.

Ocean Villa Inn
Located across the street from The Original Dog Beach in San Diego, Ocean Villa Inn is one of the most dog-friendly hotels in America. This popular hangout for canine tourists combines a resort experience with an affordable price. Dogs are greeted with a care package filled with treats, toys, and waste bags, and they’ll love the communal, fenced dog run and grassy area for walks. For more fun on the sand, head down the coast to Gooch’s Beach or Kennebunk Beach, which both allow dogs on leashes during peak season before 9 a.m. and after 5 p.m.
