Blue Heron Cottages

Blue Heron Cottages welcomes multiple well behaved dogs of any size for a fee of $25 per stay for up to four pets. All four of the cottages are pet friendly. If dogs are disruptive when alone, please do not leave them unattended. Blue Heron Cottages offer a large, enclosed, grassy courtyard, utility sink for bathing with towels provided, and doggie doody bags provided for clean up. The Dog Beach is only about half a mile away, an easy walk or a quick ride.

Campland On the Bay

Dogs are allowed at Campland On the Bay, but are not allowed on the beach, in the cafe, game room, restrooms, laundry, market or any grassy area. Please use the designated dog walk areas! Dog owners must clean up any mess their pet makes. Dogs must be leashed at all times. Leashes must be no longer than 6 feet. Dogs must not be left unattended outside of an RV or tent; any dog left unattended will be impounded. The maximum number of dogs per campsite for a daily/weekly guest is three (3). For long-term guests, maximum number of dogs allowed is two (2). If your dog causes a disturbance you may be asked to leave the park. No Pittbull types or mixes, this includes American Bulldogs, American Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, Stafforshire Bull Terriers, Argentine Dogo/Mastiff and no Rottweillers or other dogs with aggressive or uncontrollable behavior! Located in Balboa Park, Nate's Point Off-Leash Dog Park is considered to be one of the best dog parks in the San Diego area. The park is completely fenced. Park amenities include a double-entry gate, drinking fountain, and picnic tables. Nate's Point Off-Leash Dog Park is open 24 hours a day.

Fiesta Island Off-Leash Dog Park

Most of this large sandy island in Mission Bay is designated leash-free for dogs. Fiesta Island Off-Leash Dog Park has lots of sandy dunes to romp in, and the calm bay waters allow the more adventurous dogs take a quick dip. There is a designated off-leash location on the backside of the island as Sea World will be on your left, fenced-in front with signs. Bring water for your dogs.

Cabrillo Tide Pools Trail

Cabrillo Tide Pools Trail is an easy, 0.5 mile hike in Cabrillo National Monument that will take about 1 hour to complete with Fido. Although some people along the trail may tell you that your dog is not allowed, this trail is in fact the only area in Cabrillo National Monument where dogs are allowed. Fido will have to remain on a leash on the trail to the tide pools.

Westfield UTC

Westfield UTC is a fabulous spot for premier, open-air shopping (120 boutiques) or relaxing under the coral trees. You can find anything you need here and it's pet-friendly!
