July brings six hotels that are welcoming furry guests for the first time. From the white sand beaches of the Atlantic Ocean to the placid shores of Lake Erie, Fido can rest his paws at a variety of newly pet-friendly accommodations across America this month.

Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach

Perched on Florida’s most iconic beach, Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach specializes in delivering rock star treatment to two- and four-legged guests. Upon arrival, Very Important Pets are showered with sweet swag, including yummy treats, memory foam dog beds, and feeding bowls. Stylish rooms and suites come equipped with plush bedding, sofa bed seating areas, refrigerators, free WiFi, and ocean-view private balconies. Work up a sweat in the 24/7 gym, cool off in the outdoor swimming pool, experience elegant dining at the on-site restaurant, and listen to live music on the Wave Terrace.

Dig into fresh seafood eats on the dog-friendly patio at The Oyster Pub, located three blocks from the hotel.

Hyatt Place Vacaville

Nestled in the center of California wine country, Hyatt Place Vacaville offers furry sommeliers brand new accommodations to rest their paws. Modern rooms are outfitted with an array of amenities such as kitchenettes with microwaves and refrigerators, sofa-sleeper Cozy Corners, web-enabled flat-screen TVs, and walk-in showers. Grab a drink and snack in the lobby bar, fuel up each morning at the hot breakfast buffet, exercise in a state-of-the-art fitness center, and take a relaxing dip in the outdoor pool.

Fido can sample the special dog menu at nearby University of Beer, home to local craft brews and hearty burgers and sandwiches.

Hyatt Place Vacaville accepts two dogs with a combined weight up to 75 lbs for an additional fee of $75 (for stays of 1 to 6 nights) and $100 (for longer stays).

Staybridge Suites Auburn University Area

Canine coeds looking for a college town crash pad will feel right at home at the Staybridge Suites Auburn University. Apartment-style suites feature full kitchens with stovetops and dishwashers, dining tables, work desks, and complimentary WiFi. Guests can take advantage of a variety of amenities including a 24/7 fitness center, swimming pool/hot tub, on-site laundry facilities, evening wine and beer reception, and a fire pit patio with barbecue grills.

Outdoor fun can be found less than two miles away at Chewacla State Park. Trek miles of dog-friendly hiking trails and snap pictures of cascading waterfalls.

Staybridge Suites Auburn University Area welcomes two pets up to 80 lbs for an additional fee of $75 per pet (for stays of 1 to 6 nights) and $150 per pet (for longer stays).

Element Asheville Downtown

When visiting one of the U.S.’s most pet-friendly cities, sightseeing Shih Tzus will find a perfect basecamp at Element Asheville Downtown. Contemporary studios and suites include hardwood laminate floors, separate living sections, full kitchens, free WiFi, and a choice of city or mountain views. Feast on a hot breakfast buffet, swim laps in the indoor pool, pump iron in the fitness center, shop for snacks in the lobby convenience store, and rent bicycles to explore the surrounding area.

Four-legged gearheads will love visiting the Estes-Winn Antique Car Museum, located two miles north of the hotel. Leashed pups are allowed inside both the museum and gallery.

The Mountain Inn

The Mountain Inn provides adventure-seeking pups a newly renovated retreat in the heart of Vermont’s majestic Green Mountains. Cozy rooms with rustic decor feature mini refrigerators, cable TV, fireplaces, and private balconies with scenic views. Standard property amenities include free WiFi, a heated outdoor swimming pool, and bike, ski, and snowboard storage. Guests can also sample a variety of spirits at the on-site distillery.

For a delicious lunch or dinner, head a little ways down the road to The Lookout Tavern. Leashed pups are permitted on the patio deck.

The Mountain Inn welcomes one dog of any size for an additional fee of $25 per night.

Renaissance Toledo Downtown Hotel

Located on the banks of the Maumee River near the shores of Lake Erie, the Renaissance Toledo Downtown Hotel delivers upscale pet-friendly accommodations. Settle into city- or river-view rooms and suites with comfy window seats, work desks, mini refrigerators, complimentary high-speed internet, and bathrooms with walk-in showers. Savor a hearty breakfast at the on-site restaurant, enjoy a relaxing drink in the rooftop bar, and schedule a cardio session at the hotel’s fully-equipped fitness center.

Fido can get his zoomies on at nearby Middlegrounds Metropark Off-Leash Area. There are separate areas for large and small pups.
