Dining at restaurants that serve local and seasonal food helps us be conscious consumers who care for animals and the planet. And, dog-friendly farm-to-table dining experiences teach customers about food while supporting local farmers. Bring Fido to one of these restaurant patios for a meal fresh from the farm.

Front + Main
Located within the pet-friendly Lockwood Hotel, Front + Main is a culinary canine’s dream come true. Doggie diners can find a spot under a shady umbrella on the outdoor patio and order delicious items from the “Pawtio Menu” like mussels, a turkey dinner, dog beer and even a cookies & cream dessert. Of course, there are plenty of creative and nourishing cuisine options for humans as well, including burgers, pan-roasted salmon and griddled vegetable cakes, all sourced from Maine’s farms, fields, bays and oceans. Top it off with a drink from the full bar or order yourself a frozen key lime pie for dessert.
You and your pooch won’t have to travel far on a full belly when you stay at Lockwood Hotel. Check into your cozy room and Fido will receive yummy treats, fun chew toys and a stylish bandana.
The Farmhouse
In America’s Heartland, The Farmhouse utilizes the "tip-to-tail" method, meaning less waste. Dine on the patio with your pooch at this dog-friendly restaurant serving comfort food sourced from farmers in Kansas and Missouri. At its weekend brunch, your furry foodie will be begging for a bite of your biscuits and gravy, vegan hash, garden frittata, or country-fried steak. But he probably won’t share the fresh bowl of water served to him.
Make Hotel Indigo Kansas City Downtown your home away from home after your farm-to-table feast.
Posana
Make reservations at a pet-friendly patio table at Posana, an acclaimed farm-to-table eatery located in downtown Asheville’s Pack Square. The uber dog-friendly restaurant serves a multi-course menu just for canines featuring house-made doggie biscuits, grilled Joyce Farms chicken breast with rice, a seasonal flavor of doggie ice cream, and a selection of Bowser Beer to wash it all down.
After dinner, retire for the evening just steps away at Kimpton Hotel Arras, one of the most dog-friendly hotels in America.
Jean-Georges at Topping Rose House
A trip to the Hamptons is an escape to “pawradise” for your four-legged friend. Jean-Georges at Topping Rose House is one of numerous establishments that welcomes Fido. The farm-to-table restaurant is a casually elegant eatery that celebrates the seasons with sophisticated cuisine using ingredients grown on the property's one-acre farm and sourced from the area's farmers and fishermen. Enjoy noshes like Wagyu beef tenderloin, roasted Maine lobster in chili butter with shoestring potatoes, and fontina cheese pizza with black truffle at the communal tables on the dog-friendly outdoor patio. Snagging a reservation can be tricky so plan accordingly, but walk-ins are always welcome for breakfast.
Stay overnight at Topping Rose House, or book a pet-friendly room at nearby Southampton Inn.
Eveleigh
While you tuck into dishes like whole-roasted branzino and truffle aioli fries at Eveleigh, your pup will rest comfortably underneath your pergola-shaded patio table on the faux grass. Weekend brunch is a “pupular” affair where you can order sides of eggs, bacon or chicken for your hungry hound. In addition to serving amazing farm-to-table fare and cocktails, this trendy restaurant on West Hollywood’s Sunset Boulevard is a great spot to “stargaze.”
Enjoy celestial views from the for-guests-only rooftop terrace when you book a room nearby at the Chamberlain West Hollywood with Fido.
The White Oak Tavern
Just outside Baltimore at The White Oak Tavern, the best local, seasonal, and sustainable meats and produce are used for pub-style menu items. Sit on the pup-friendly, fenced patio where Fido can lap up cool local tap water and enjoy a treat like a peanut butter ball or grilled chicken from the tavern’s dog menu. While he chows down, you can munch on dry-aged, grass-fed beef burgers or vegetarian pasta primavera paired with a microbrew on tap. If your pooch is a really good boy (and of course he is), order a Bowl-O-Bacon to share; it’s housemade, nitrate-free and brown sugar-cured!
Book dog-friendly accommodations at Hotel Revival Baltimore, a boutique hotel that welcomes large canines and their owners and doesn’t charge a pet fee.
Dancing Bear Appalachian Bistro
In the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains, Dancing Bear Appalachian Bistro redefines regional cuisine. Dine on farm-fresh, gourmet Southern dishes on the rustic patio with your pooch. Almost all of the produce is grown onsite and the menu changes frequently to capture the best tastes of the season. For a real treat, dine at Appalachian Bistro for Sunday brunch, when you and your furry music-lover can listen to a live bluegrass band.
You’ll have a short walk back to your cabin when you stay at Dancing Bear Lodge. You and Fido can get cozy in one of the pet-friendly cabins that feature wood-burning fireplaces and private porches with hot tubs.
Rogue Island Local Kitchen & Bar
In Rhode Island, Rogue Island Local Kitchen & Bar supports the local food system by making a conscious effort to redirect buying from “big food” corporations to the community farm or purveyor. Your pup will be immediately welcomed on the back patio with a refreshing bowl of H20 as you select something from the seasonal menus of farm-to-table cuisine like the Rogue Burger or Cauliflower Melt, and local craft beers.
Stay nearby in the center of all downtown at Graduate Providence, a collegiate-themed hotel that welcomes dogs of any size.
Liberty Market
The shaded, dog-friendly patio at Liberty Market in Historic Downtown Gilbert, a suburb of Phoenix, is just the place to get your farm-to-table fix. The restaurant owners are dedicated to “serving quality food that nourishes the body and soul with a servant’s heart in good times and bad times.” Liberty serves breakfast until 1 p.m. on the weekends for those late risers, and sandwiches, salads, pizzas, and pastas made with market-fresh and locally sourced ingredients for lunch and dinner.
And, you might want to sleep in at the comfortable Hotel Valley Ho located a short drive away in downtown Scottsdale.
Farm to Table Bistro
About 65 miles north of Manhattan, Farm to Table Bistro works with as many Hudson Valley farms, creameries and food purveyors as possible. Dogs are welcome on the comfortable outdoor patio while you dine. Menu items vary seasonally, but popular items include pan-seared Atlantic salmon with a maple-soy glaze, the Arthur Avenue Sampler made with the chef’s selection of cured meats and cheeses from Sprout Creek Farm, and items on the raw bar from local fisheries.
Explore Fishkill and stay overnight at Residence Inn by Marriott Fishkill. The hotel’s staff will greet your pooch with dog treats and there’s a pet relief area onsite.
Old Dog Ale House & Brewery
Located 30 miles north of Columbus in Delaware, OH, Old Dog Ale House & Brewery offers seasonal farm-to-table fare paired with beer brewed from its own onsite nano-brewery. As the name suggests, dogs are welcome on the patio when the weather is nice and at Old Dog’s summer Yappy Hour on Tuesday through Thursday. Order your pup a delicious bite (or two) from the dog menu which features steak, chicken or a burger patty served with peas and carrots, followed by either a pupcake or dog treats for dessert.
Stay nearby at Baymont Inn and Suites Delaware and go back to the restaurant for lunch with your pooch the next day.
