Better than Strongsville OH
Super 8 by Wyndham DavenportGreat receptionist. Good room, strange shower. Great restaurant on same street that delivered. Dog happy.
Not up to snuff
Super 8 by Wyndham Strongsville/ClevelandOwners struggling. Room ok. Check-in through plexus raises possible crime fears. “Breakfast” was coffee, orange water. Lots of rooms, not many cars, so it seemed hard to host. Probably better in warmer season.
Top notch
The Hotel at Dayton AirportBest of the 5 places we used on this trip. Friendly competent staff. Dog was content. Easiest location on-off I-70.
Mixed review
SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Blue SpringsAll fairly good. Only one young guy on duty. New to the job, so he had no idea how to handle us plus a dog. Took 25 min to check us in. Room good, doggie outdoors fair. Breakfast very good. They seem to be trying so only docked 1 bone.
Indoors fine
Hotel EklundClayton is a fading town. The Eklund is an 1890s place the owners keep in great shape. Because of neighborhood no special place for dog relief. But we and the dog persevered. Owners very welcoming.
One problem
Super 8 by Wyndham Mt Vernon ILEverything fine for Fido. Our car though was vandalized in the parking lot. Only discovered after we left. Tried to let the motel know but no answer on the desk phone and no message possibility. Filed report with local police who were very good with it all.
