Not very dog or human friendly

This place was awful. The room is tiny and claustrophobic. There was not one chair in the room and nowhere to set your luggage except on the floor which is hard for older people to get to. It says it has a “kitchenette” but that is not true. There is a microwave, a small refrigerator and a coffee pot which is in almost all hotels. I guess the roll of paper towels makes it a kitchenette. And if you microwave anything, you would have to sit on your bed to eat it. The toilet in the bathroom is so small and close to the ground that getting off it is hard for older people.

The worst is saying it’s dog friendly. There is not an area for your dog to relieve himself safely or comfortably. The grassy area can only be reached by climbing over a cement planter or a rock wall from the parking lot. There were some doggie bags for picking up after your pet, but not a trash can to put it in. And all this is right by the main and busy highway which deters your dog from doing his business! And you get all this for 200.00 a night. It may be the best “deal” in town, but I’d highly suggest that you spend a little more and stay elsewhere. We sure wished we had. Lesson learned.

Wonderful

We loved staying in this place. To begin, the staff was wonderful. Such kind people who went the extra mile to make sure their guests had everything they need. Rooms were comfortable and the restaurant next door was equally friendly. The food was good and it was so nice to have the restaurant so close. The grounds of the Bavarian Hills are beautiful. The flowers were gorgeous. They are very good to let your dog stay in the room as you explore the area. I highly recommend this place whether you have a pet or not.

Great hotel but skip breakfast

The hotel was really nice and clean and the staff was beyond friendly and helpful. The only reason for 4 not 5 bones is the breakfast buffet. It was awful. For 19.00 you expect hot and good food. It was not. the eggs were rubbery and barely warm. The potatoes were also barely warm and very greasy. I picked up a biscuit and it was cold and when I tried to cut it open, it crumbled in my hand. The only thing edible was the overcooked bacon and fruit. Even the pastries were cold and dried out. I won’t even go into what the oatmeal or gravy looked like. So, I paid 19.00 for two strips of overdone bacon. That is unacceptable if that is your only option for breakfast. So….stay in the lovely rooms but find another place for breakfast. Oh yes, a 20% gratuity is added to all checks and the only time you see a waiter is to bring your check. You seat yourself, you serve yourself. He doesn’t bring you water or anything…just the check. And ours was 47.00 for 2 strips of bacon and a piece of pineapple, the rest was inedible.
