Pretty standard
Motel 6 Ruidoso NMThe place was clean and very much in line with other Motel 6’s that we’ve been to. There weren’t a lot of people but sound carried in the hallways. Bring a blanket, there was just a thin cover over the sheet, we didn’t ask about it though, it was late when we noticed. Lots of nice vacant lot behind the building and the parking area was well lit.

Older but very worth trying
Shamrock Country InnThis is an old motel but the owners do a great job of both keeping it clean and providing a welcoming place for travelers. They only have two rooms that are dog friendly so call ahead or reserve early. There’s a whole farm area with a dirt road that looks like it goes for miles behind the building. The cows ran up to the fence to see us. There is breakfast but we did not eat there. It looked pretty standard for “hot” breakfast. The owner is delightful.

Just what we needed
Red Roof Inn PLUS+ Columbus - DublinThis place is in a business park near the highway but not right on it. There are lots of trees and grass and you can walk quite a long way just around the neighboring buildings. There is also a grocery store within easy walking distance. The place is quiet, well run, has been kept up and was very clean. We stayed three days for a family event and were completely satisfied.

Motel 6 Amarillo TX - AirportIf you need a place to sleep, it’s ok. But it was very noisy and things didn’t settle down until quite late. I think the staff does their best, things were pretty clean and people were friendly.

Really nice
Aloft TulsaActually quiet, lots of room, friendly staff, very clean. There’s a huge field right near the hotel to walk your dogs. We did not eat breakfast there so no opinion.

A bit run down but surprisingly quiet
Motel 6 Urbana ILIt’s right on the edge of a residential neighborhood, plenty of places to walk. Crystal Lake Park is very close and huge. The only dog park in Urbana is members only which we found odd. The staff at the motel were nice, it’s no frills but quite acceptable.
