The restaurant that opened up at Pearl in Green's old space is now called Full Goods Diner and it is dog friendly on the patio.

Great dog spot - but no food available until after 5pm
La Tuna GrillLa Tuna is only a bar until 5, so if you go earlier, be prepared to have a beer only. Still, it's a great spot for doggie outings...

Our go-to BBQ ever since Jason Dady closed Alamo BBQ by the Pearl
Two Bros BBQ MarketTwo Bros is also a Jason Dady restaurant, and the BBQ and sauces are the same here as they were at Alamo BBQ, which is to say - DELICIOUS. The options for sides are all yummy, and my favorite is the creamed corn, which is just a bit different than most places. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu here, and the backyard patio area is really large so there's plenty of space for your dog to walk around, eat, nap, etc. BRING MOSQUITO SPRAY in the summer!

Some of the best pizza in town & servers love to pet your dog on the patio
Stella Public HouseGreat spot at Blue Star in Southtown - amazing menu, best pizza around + amazing beer options (try the happy hour special $8 flight of four 4 oz beers). Servers truly love dogs and there is plenty of space outside on the deck for your pup to stretch out and nap while you nosh.

Snuck our baby dog inside for dinner on an extra crowded First Friday
Blue Star Brewing CompanyNormally only the deck area outside is dog-friendly, but on a recent First Friday it was so noisy & crowded outside that they had closed down the deck area. The server let us bring our (well-behaved, quiet) dog inside and we sat at table in the corner out of the way of most foot-traffic. That's to say that dogs aren't really allowed inside but they were flexible since the deck was closed. Blue Star's menu has gotten kind of ho-hum over the years and the service is not great (but post-covid service is not great in most places due to low staffing). Still it was nice to go out and be able to be accommodated, when every restaurant had a 45 minute wait.

Hands down the best Asian restaurant in town - and they love our dog!
Best Quality DaughterBest Quality Daughter needs no introduction for any foodies - it is well-known for its imaginative and AMAZING menu. The patio was nice before for bringing your dog, and now that construction is done its even better! Don't miss BQD if you're visiting SA or just out for a night on the town. Keep in mind YOU WILL NEED RESERVATIONS on most days!

Cured is charcuterie heaven + delicious entrees + super dog-friendly
CuredI can't say enough good things about the menu at Cured, and honestly, you can find amazing reviews for it everywhere. What a great spot for happy hour, light/shareable dinner, etc! And the patio outside is perfectly dog-friendly... lots of tables, with plenty of space between tables in case your pup wants to stretch out. Servers are super well-trained and top-notch, and they love your pup as much as you do. MMMM... Cured is a must-visit when you're at the Pearl.

no shade & concrete is HOT
Sam's Burger JointMenu is standard - good burgers. The patio area outside is all concrete - no grass or wood - and there's no shade to keep the concrete from getting super hot in the summer. Our dog was really uncomfortable and had to hide under the table to keep from getting burned on the concrete in July. During the fall/winter/spring time, the patio is fine... just avoid during summer. Also, you will have to do all servicing for your dog - ask for a bowl, take water out, etc.
