Ultra clean!
Traveler's InnOkay, the rooms are tiny. It's a little like living on a sail boat. But they are sparkling clean, the TV works great, there's a good little fridge, and the beds are super comfortable. The entire town is a great walking area for your dog. The location is away from the interstate so it's quiet at night. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Deposit Required
Motel 6 Kirkland WA - North KirklandThe room was clean but small. Limited dog walking area in a very noisy traffic area. Management requires a $50 deposit for the room. Don't know when it will be refunded to me. A Motel 6 in Phoenix once kept my deposit for two months until I phoned and complained. They then said they forgot. My guess is they forget to refund deposits a lot.

Motel 6 Roseburg OrA large, clean, conveniently located room without a pet fee. Missing a fridge or it would have been five bones.

Good if avoiding Phoenix
Americas Choice Inn and SuitesThis hotel is a great way for travelers heading west from Texas to avoid the traffic and astronomical cost of Phoenix. America’s Hotels have nice clean rooms, terrible TV, and lousy breakfast but if the most important thing is the room, this is the place.

Comfort Inn & Suites Lancaster Antelope ValleyThe sweetest little motel ever. Off the highway; great walking town for your dog. If you’ve ever lived on a sailboat, you’ll think the rooms are amply large. I was charmed and will return.

A little bit tricky
Hotel Casa de La PalmaFor the most part, this property is pretty good. It is 3-4 blocks from the magnificent Puebla Zocalo. The building is historic which means modern amenities are scarce. The TV is Spanish only and has awful reception. Now the tricky part: When you check in the manager explains (in Spanish only) that there will be an extra charge for your pet but he can’t say how much. I saw a problem coming and so I rose early the next day and prepared to bug out early so my luggage couldn’t be used for leverage to pay an exorbitant pet fee. After I loaded my car, the security guard told me I had to pay a 350 peso (about 20 US dollars) fee for my dog. This was after no one even looked at our room.

Stay away!
La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Santa FeI actually refused to stay in this hotel when I learned that they had not had WIFI for months and neglected to mention it when we booked a room for two days. They were actually going to keep one of my two nights payment until BringFido went to bat for me and got me my full refund. Read the other reviews for this place and you will not make the mistake of booking here.

Dog friendly location
Collection O Al Otro Lado Del Rio PueblaNo pool, no coffee, no breakfast, no parking. You get a clean, pleasant room. Very friendly staff. In the US or Canada I would give it two bones. Not a great location for tourists. You sleep, you leave.

Outstanding Location
Hotel Boutique Casa GarayBut for the amazing location, I would have given this hotel a two bone rating. It is one block from the mercado and two blocks from the zocalo. Close enough to be very convenient but far enough to be quiet late at night. The bad parts: the air conditioning in the room sounds like a 747 taking off; the entire place needs a serious face lift which, if it occurred, would return the property to its former glory. No breakfast, not even coffee. The restaurant is in dire need of an actual cooking professional who can do more than sandwiches and soup.

Best option for Saltillo
Four Points by Sheraton SaltilloThe staff are dog and people friendly. No specific dog walking area but it has a large parking lot around the building where Fido can get relief. As is typical for a Mexican town, there are no parks to walk your dog, so this is a 'one-night and we’re gone' kind of place.
