Good food, questionable cleaning
Quality Inn TucumcariI was prepared to leave a good review for this place shortly after we arrived. The room decor is very out of date, but we were told they were renovating a few rooms at a time. We got dinner from the Branding Iron restaurant that is here at the hotel and the food was excellent. We highly recommend the Fajitas and Enchiladas. Everything seemed ok for a while, but then when I got into the shower, I found a used bar of soap in the soap dish. I hope they just overlooked the soap dish while cleaning and didn't overlook cleaning the whole shower. You can also hear every footstep of the people above you. Finally, the bed was very bouncy and left me with quite a back ache this morning. We also overheard some other customers complaining about check-in problems at the front desk. There are no other restaurants, not even fast food, close by. I don't plan to stay here again and would recommend you choose another hotel in Tucumcari.

Good Experience
La Quinta by Wyndham JoplinClean room and a quiet stay. The bed made a loud thump-like noise when I got up or sat down on it like something was out of alignment with the frame or something. It wasn't that big of a deal except our dog thought it was a knock at the door every time that happened so he'd either growl or bark at it. There wasn't a good place to walk our dog, but there was a little strip just over the curb of the parking lot that at least got the job done. I'd stay here again, but hopefully they'll fix the bed frame first. ;)
