Older but clean
Rodeway Inn La GrandeThis is an older, dated place. Dogs are welcome and allowed to stay alone in the room. We had a room with a double queen bed and it was so small and packed with furniture that our dog’s crate only fitted in between the beds. There is almost no room to walk around in the room but everything was clean. Breakfast is served in the reception area but has to be eaten in the room. There are enough grassy areas close by to walk a dog. The motel is close to the city center with nice restaurants and shops.

Creepy Place
Royal InnThis is an old rundown place. Lots of people live here and there is trash everywhere. The room looked more like a prison cell than a motel room with cinder block walls, high broken windows, a toilet that was not working properly and pipes that made lots of noise in the walls. And this was the “nicest big room” the receptionist told us! Well, the bed and bathroom were clean but that is the only positive I can tell. There were cars with running engines standing in the parking lot during the night. We didn’t feel safe here.
If possible I would’ve given no bones (stars) at all....

Beautiful Place
Anglers LodgeBeautiful place with a great atmosphere. Spacious very cozy rooms. There is a very nice outside space with chairs and games along the river. The rooms are very clean and the furniture is beautiful and rustic. The restaurant on site serves great food. There are plenty grassy areas to walk dogs.
