Nothing fancy
El Rancho MotelLots of grassy areas immediately adjacent to the motel for dog walking. Classic roadside motel but the employees were polite and very attentive.
Great bed and pillows!
Quality Inn Troutville - Roanoke NorthNo complaints other than other dog owners who don't pick up the poop in the designated pooping spots. Clean, breakfast was fine, staff were pleasant. The only negative, to only give 4 bones, is that the hotel is so close to the road that the road noise kept me up all night, but that's me. The hotel experience other than that would generate 5 bones.
All around wonderful!
Candlewood Suites Rocky Mount an IHG HotelCustomer service was stellar (thank you Gregg). Lots of space to walk the 4-leggeds (fellow travelers, please pick up your pet's poop in public spaces, thank you). Room was quiet enough that the dogs didn't bark at every little noise. Floor space in a double queen suite was ample for 3 large dogs to spread out, beds were comfy. No complaints at all.
Bed was comfortable
Days Inn by Wyndham St GeorgeThe room was clean, service was fine, there was a large grassy area to walk our three large dogs, bed was comfortable. Downside, extremely noisy due to I-95, deferred maintenance, hole in wall at baseboard, card key was finicky. We chose this motel since options are few for overnight lodging when traveling with three larger dogs.
Pet smart
La Quinta by Wyndham FlorenceWe were given a room on the 2nd floor and not near an exit, this was great so the dogs didn’t bark every time someone went in and out. There were many pets near us but that wasn’t a problem. Decent area to walk the dogs and clean up materials provided.
