Great experience

Clean, comfortable room. Clean facility. Friendly helpful staff. Unusually good breakfast. Pleasant lobby/lounge. As you can tell, we really liked it. Seriously though, there are so many mediocre hotels out there, it’s terrific when you find a really good one.

It's OK

Quiet, clean. Room had enough square footage, but it wasn't used well so it felt cramped. Bed way too hard. Entering the room had a real Motel 6 feel to it, which is not intended as a compliment. Staff and ssecurity officer were pleasant.

Good value

Comfortable, clean, quiet. Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast was adequate. The facility, both inside and out, looked well maintained. We would stay there again.

Difficult check-in

Days Inn Ukiah is a decently average, clean, comfortable place where I've stayed before. This time, when I arrived at about 6pm, I encountered an apparently inexperienced clerk wearing a political T-shirt who rather abruptly informed me that, no, I would not be given the usual ground-floor pet-friendly king room. Sorry! We've promised them to other guests. Hmmm. After years in personnel management, I know to just smile, persevere and save the big stick til the end.

I pointed out that since I had reservations and had arrived early in the evening, it seemed they would have a way to accommodate me. No, nothing, I was told. I booked the room through BringFido, I added. Suddenly, a small light clicked on and I was told, "Let me check with the manager!" It took about two seconds for the whole operation. "OK! Here's your room." And the room was fine, standard-issue. So, would I stay there again? Hmmm, plenty of other choices in Ukiah. But for whatever reason, if I hadn't booked through BringFido, I think I might have been out of luck.

Clean and comfortable

My brother recommended Travelers Inn and I’m glad he did. The room was so clean, quiet and comfortable that it made staying there a pleasure. Office staff are there if you need them. Breakfast is grab-and-go, so there’s no dining area, but the coffee’s good and the snacks thoughtfully chosen. I travel primarily on business so I tend to be somewhat price sensitive (as I was in this case) but I would have no hesitation whatsoever to stay here when traveling with my wife. I really like this place and I strongly recommend it!

Nice older, clean motel

This place is a (good) blast from the past, located in a resort area up the road from Crescent City CA. It’s been there a while but solid repairs and renovations are in evidence. Because the building is vintage, its sound abatement is good. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. We’re glad we stayed there.

Very good experience

We and the pooch had a real first-class experience at this La Quinta. Clean, comfortable establishment all the way from the front desk to our room. First class mattress. Other room features - design, furniture, features, plumbing all excellent. Staff friendly, knowledgeable and there when you need them. We highly recommend!

Beautiful old hotel

A well kept, lovely old hotel. We really enjoyed our stay: restful sleep, good coffee and sitting on the porch looking out on the wind swept moor and the sea. Staff friendly and helpful. Walking the dog in this beautiful natural place couldn’t have been finer.

Well-managed motel

I have stayed at this motel several times and never been disappointed. It's a very well managed older property, clean, obviously well maintained. The polite, professional staff are quick to resolve problems, and more important, there aren't many problems. The parking spaces in the lot are way too small for the SUVs and trucks parked there, but the guests all seem to cooperate and I haven't had a car dented yet. There have been some complaints about the $25 pet fee, but even with that included, I think the place is a good value. I would recommend this motel to family and friends and I plan on staying there again myself.

Motel 6 at its worst

I guess I should have called to say I might be late, although we weren't THAT late. In any event, the desk staff went out of their way to find us a room, one I suspect they had taken out of service. Broken wall outlet, defective shower fixture, broken shower door track. I'm not certain that the room reflects what one would normally encounter at this motel, although I don't think I'll be finding out. Really the worst room I've ever experienced in the USA. As to the dog, even she really wanted to leave the next morning.

You get what pay for and that's a good thing

Motel 6 Pismo Beach is pretty bare bones, but it's clean, the staff are friendly and everything works. And it would be easy to spend three times as much. It's a great deal.
