Not Great but Not Bad Either

Realized after checking-in that we had stayed here overnight a couple of years prior. One HUGE disappointment was being notified upon arrival that the elevator was nonoperational, that all of the rooms on the ground floor plus most of the rooms on the 2nd floor were occupied, and that we'd have to use the stairs to and from our room on the 2nd floor. That meant that we had to walk up & down 2 flights of stairs for everything, Bringing up & taking down our bags, taking our dog out & bringing her back in, breakfast in the morning, everything! At least the young woman at the front desk offered to help with the luggage!

NOT so Service Dog friendly

Baymont by Wyndham Tehachapi

My husband is a disabled veteran for several service-connected conditions. And even though on the morning of arrival I had verified directly with with an employee of this hotel that our dog was a registered service animal where the pet fee should be waived, upon arrival later that afternoon, I was told that because her registration said she was an "emotional support" service animal, the fee would NOT be waived. Please understand that it was not the amount being charged. It was the principle of the situation and the fact that I had called ahead of our arrival. When someone suffers from more than one condition or disorder, particularly PTSD, which IS an emotionally-based disorder, how else would one designate their service animal? To NOT honor my husband's emotional-support service animal was a disgrace and a slap-in-the face of every veteran who sacrificed for this country! SHAME ON YOU, Baymont by Wyndham - Tehachapi, CA!!!! We will NEVER stay here again!!!

Convenient Location

La Quinta by Wyndham Hopkinsville

Even though they were obviously understaffed and still offering limited breakfast services because of the virus, the women who we dealt with -- one during check-in & another during check-out -- were both friendly and professional.
