Pretty good spot
Rodeway Inn GunnisonThe folks were great, and those who work there are good people. The only pitfall is the location, if one needs to stay in the room during the day you'll find that it is in the flight plain to the local airport. The rest was a great place to be at.

Great folks
Days Inn by Wyndham AlamosaWith some places one feels like just another lodger staying the night, here I felt very comfortable and welcomed by Meepe, Irene and Teresa not only by the friendliness but helping out without question on anything I had a need for or directions and helping out when I was getting ready to leave. This beat-up veteran felt welcomed and when I head that direction one again I know that I'll spend time there again.

Oh man, better than expected
La Quinta by Wyndham Moscow PullmanAlthough I'm not certain how new the hotel was but we were not even in the room 5 minutes that the front desk called and asked if everything was as expected. So for on this trip this is the first time it actually happened, the room and service was much, much better than expected. I really do not expect a lot from dog friendly places but here blew my mind away. I do not have facebook or a twitter account so I basically rely on BringFido and Yelp. Also as a beat-up veteran the staff was helpful toward my self and my wife, and Dharma my dog.
