Not secure
Red Roof Inn Erie - I-90The doors that lead to the outside do not lock so anyone can come in off the street and up to the second floor. The fan in the bathroom was so noisy I showered with the light off. hotel needs major updates. Gunk around switches on the lamps. Pillows feel hard like if you folded up a towel in the shape of a pillow and put a pillow case on it. Maybe made of futon material and the mattress did not sink in but round up. Pretty darn uncomfortable.

Nice people dirty place
Super 8 by Wyndham Valdosta/Conf Center AreaI chose this hotel even with the reviews thinking that maybe since having a bad review posted they would have upped their game but I was wrong. The price was appealing and the fact that the rooms did not open onto the street factored into my decision to book a room here. The room smelled of cigarette smoke, despite it being a non smoking room and there was visible gunk around the lamp bases beside the bed. even one of the towels appeared to be dirty (probably stained but why not one wonder?!) if I was not traveling alone with two dogs at night I would not have hesitated to run when I saw the sign posted at the lobby entrance - “no vacancy for locals” - that should have been an indicator of the situation. not sure why they can’t keep a hotel clean. there was absolutely no indication that anything had been cleaned let alone sanitized (Covid-19)
despite the fact that no employee I saw wore a mask, The gentleman who worked the night shift named Alan was very nice and tried to make me feel better by saying that they were training new cleaning people. and the woman who checked me upon my arrival was nice too. I arrived after dark and left in the dark as soon as I had a couple of hours of sleep. I even skipped the shower. just wanted to go. also the side entrance door did not close and lock unless you pulled it shut so not the most safe and secure place I have seen.
I had to wash my hair at my next destination because it smelled like cigarettes. yuck. too bad. I hate leaving bad reviews but I would never stay there again.
