Afraid of dogs 😯
Quality InnThe people who run the place are afraid of dogs! The ventilation system has a leak, allowing cigarette smoke to our room. Annoying, and obviously unhealthy. They said that they were working on trying to remedy the smell of stale cigarette smoke, and I wasn’t the first to complain. Otherwise, everything else was ok.
Inconvenient and overpriced
Best Western DuBois HotelFirst of all, the building is a split level affair, with no elevator. There is only one cart for the entire building, which has two bad wheels, and is left in the upper level. I was put in a room downstairs at the end of 3and1/2 ft wide hallway leading to the lower level parking lot. It was either making four trips lugging stuff to the room, or walk up to the upper level, get the cart, walk it down the bumpy old driveway, across the parking lot and over a curb to my car. The room was tiny, with low ceilings, smelled musty. Had stains on the carpet, the office chair had a rip in the seat back, and the window was a ceiling high basement window. All this and more for $172.00 including the pet fee. I’ve stayed in Motel 6’s that were a lot better than that for half that amount, and that’s a low bar. Corporate is responsible for all of my complaints and is not listening to the pleas of their employees at this location who are on the receiving end of unhappy customers. The supervisor in charge did deduct $50.00 from my bill for my inconvenience.
Very pet friendly
La Quinta by Wyndham KearneyPoop bag dispenser, lots of grass, and a nice area to walk. Also there are lots of carts available to haul all your pet gear up to your room.
No Carts
Best Western Plus Wendover InnSlightly inconvenient room for us on the second floor at the end of a long hallway with no available courtesy carts to haul our stuff. Other than that, it was ok.
