A decent room
Quality InnThe room was clean and nothing was worn out. The TV and typical hotel AC unit worked as expected. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient. There was minimal door slamming in the middle of the night and my neighbors were quiet. I stayed there on both sides of a 9 day road trip between Georgia and Vermont and slept well both nights. The dog was happy with the green space. I've seen nicer rooms for $100+ a night that's why I rated it at 4 bones. Still an adequate place to stay though.
Better than average
Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Barstow an IHG HotelThe Ayres Hotel is, in my opinion, a step up from the La Quinta properties I stayed at the previous two nights. The LQ hotels were fine but the Ayres was better and was closer to a lot more food choices (Chilis right across the parking lot). The dog "relief" area wasn't spotless but wasn't horrible either. Because of the bed supports the cat was easily extracted and put back in the crate which was great.
