Good all round experience
Ocean Pacific LodgeRemodeled, good beds and friendly staff. Our room was quiet enough near the pool but heard the door slam to another room at 2 am. Small alley off the parking lot made a sweet dog room too. Half refrigerator, good coffee maker and microwave means you don’t have to eat every meal out. Dog beach a short drive stairs down to a no leash beach are just past the lighthouse north of the hotel. All around great stay for us and doggie.

Best doggie hotel ever
Best Western Plus Inn of WilliamsWoods behind hotel offer fun hiking or small groomed area closer for smaller dogs. Quiet, large rooms and friendly hotel staff. Nice breakfast included.

Too bad it’s the only choice
Baymont by Wyndham TehachapiWhat a dump. First we arrived early afternoon and the surly female receptionist said she was too busy to check us in early. And repeated her unfriendly retort when it was only 30 minutes before check in. I distinctly heard that house cleaning was finished with all the rooms so that wasn’t the reason for our delayed check in. On the positive side the room was large, bed was comfortable and there was a small refrigerator. Here’s my list of more specific complaints: the pool was empty, the back security hall door wouldn’t stay locked and the noise from the above room’s bathroom was deafening. As well as the ice maker nearest my room was broken and the free breakfast was a joke. Every other food case was empty. I don’t recommend staying here so maybe stop over at another town all together.
