Medical stay
Sheraton La Jolla HotelLast minute surgery and no dog sitter over the holiday so found this close to hospital. Great location, only 2 stories and lots of room to roam with the dog. Bag stations also. Will stay again!
Fine for a quick overnight
Beachwalker Inn and SuitesWe had a unexpected change of plans and needed a one night stay before driving home a long distance. This fit the bill, but it's a no frills property, floor was vinyl and felt tacky so recommend bringing socks. It accommodated the two of us in a very comfortable king bed with our two dogs. No view, no ambiance. It suited our purposes for one night.
Much needed relief from desert heat
Monterey TidesWe read the reviews before selecting this property and knew going in it was an aged property. Regardless, it was clean. Met the manager Tyler who was very nice and has good plans for upgrades. WOW! The view from our room was superb, and the surf sounds made me sleep like a baby! The food at the restaurant was very good, the maid service was very good and everywhere we turned, we were greeted by the nicest guests with their lovely dogs. Dogs are allowed on the beach! Nice dog relief area. Highly recommend this property if traveling with dogs. The only thing I wished for was a private balcony. The property has 4 stories and wrap around walk ways externally. The manager said we were welcome to put two chairs outside our room and create our balcony.
Good place to stay with digs
3 Peaks Resort & Beach ClubThe staff was excellent, and the grams were good for taking dogs on walks. It was nice that they provided poop bags and various stations. The rooms themselves need to be refurbished. We think it was last refurbished 15 years ago and it's definitely overdue.
