Worst location
La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Bakersfield SouthThis is the worst La Quinta I've been to. The staff are nice and understanding, but they know it is a terrible place. Very unsafe, and gross. Cars broken into, drug deals and drug use in the open, the rooms need to completely stripped and remodeled. Please avoid this location if you want a good nights sleep.

Always my favorite
Bayfront InnThe rooms are small, but when your at the beach with the dogs all day, size doesn't matter. The staff are wonderful, and always make our stay pleasant. I recommend bringing bottled water though as the pipes are very old and could use an update. Great location, best price in town for pet friendly, I recommend to always try to book here.

Could have been better
Harbor House InnStayed here for 5 nights in October 2018. The manager neglected to inform us that there would be ongoing construction in the room next door, and I got a migraine from the noise through the paper thin walls. The people cleaning rooms brought their kids and allowed them to run and yell all over the property everyday. Room 104 where we were was a clean room and recently redecorated. The water pressure was way too low, and the shower temperature changed when the adjacent rooms flushed their toilets. They are currently renovating all the rooms, so I hope that improvements will be made to let guests feel more comfortable while staying there in the future.
