Great place! Super staff!

Sleep Inn & Suites Harrisonburg Near University

There was an issue with our room and the front desk person handled it completely. I could not have been happier. Nice room. Clean and quiet. Affordable rate. Carpet on the floor throughout the room. Would definitely stay here again. Lots of restaurants and stores nearby that you could walk to. Not a large dog business area at the hotel property but there’s a sidewalk for walking around the area.

Great affordable place!

Motel 6 Wilkes Barre PA - Arena

Helpful and friendly staff! Clean room. No carpet. Quiet hotel. Good dog business spots around the hotel. No frills but a reasonable price. We would stay here again.

Dog Friendly

Best Western Plus Lake Lanier Gainesville Hotel & Suites

Clean and quiet. No carpet. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good dog “business” area. Near shopping and restaurants. Parking is tight in the unusually-shaped lot upon which the hotel was built. Another hotel is being constructed next door. A refundable $100 deposit is charged.

Awesome as usual

Candlewood Suites Winchester an IHG Hotel

We love this hotel. The dog also loves it. We’ve stayed here several times. Room was super clean and staff is friendly and helpful. This time I left behind a valuable item and I called the front desk and they are holding it for me to pick it up on the return trip.

Not So Great for Sleeping

The Lincklaen House

This property is a bar with a hotel and restaurant above it. We stayed December 26 - 29, 2022. We heard the bar's music, especially the base-line reverberating through the historic hotel to our second floor room. The bar does not close at 11:00 pm as indicated. It closed at 12:15 and 1:15 am with a liquor license until 2:00 am.

I rated this otherwise awesome hotel one bone for the overnight desk clerk's comment when I asked if the music could be turned down. She said, "The paying customers in the bar like the music loud. It's an old hotel. The noise travels."

I think a paying customer in the hotel should be warned about the noise from the bar. We stayed four nights and the first two nights we did not hear anything from the bar, which was open and playing music. The last two nights I could not sleep until the music turned off at 12:15 and 1:15 am.

The hotel obviously knows about the noise issue and they could have taken measures to advise the guests that the bar may be open until 2:00 am and by telling me that I will hear and feel the music from the bar if they decide to turn up the volume level. They could have offered me a white noise machine or even ear plugs. I don't know if a different room on an upper floor was available because it wasn't mentioned.

When I checked out I was not asked how I enjoyed my stay. I would have said that the rest of the staff was extremely friendly and delightful providing the absolute highest level of service at any of the historic hotels I have stayed at (and I seek out old restored hotels because I love them), especially Debbie who was wonderful. The continental breakfast was great. The waffles were made from scratch batter and the coffee was probably the best hotel coffee I've ever had. The other breakfast selections were of high quality as well.

I had room service the first night and my food was delivered promptly and it was excellent. If you are in the Syracuse area you should have dinner there. The dining room is restored to the glory of yesteryear and it's very cozy and inviting. The hotel room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable, although it was an elevated bed (up to my waist) that I had trouble climbing into and out of. An oversized footstool is provided.

Our dog enjoyed the hotel as far as we know. There are grassy areas nearby at the Post Office and public trash cans on the street for the poop bag disposal. Our elderly dog did okay going up down the long staircase since there is not an elevator and all of the rooms are on floors two and three. I appreciated that there was no extra fee for the dog.

All of my in-laws who live in the area were curious about staying at the hotel as they had all dined in the restaurant and had partied in the bar and now they know that the rest of the out-of-town family should avoid staying in the hotel -- unless they enjoy music and a reverberating base-line until the wee hours and being treated like a second class customer. We will dine there again for our next trip to the Syracuse area (we'd like to take the whole family to dinner here!) but we will never stay here again.

Clean and Comfortable

Holiday Inn Martinsburg an IHG Hotel

Good hotel for dogs. Our room was on the ground floor near the entrance to the wing where we were staying. The hotel design is confusing at first regarding how you get to the room. Desk clerk said that the room is “around the back” but the building has no architectural elements or features showing where you enter. It was also raining hard when we entered and the entrance has no awning or cover over the door so we received the gutter overflow when entering using the older style card reader.

Great for Dogs!

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Bardstown

Ground floor room, several large spaces outside for the "dog business center," quiet location (although likely in a fast-developing area) and awesome breakfast! My dog loved it! One issue with the room, where the floor had water stains and mildew in the tile cracks, which was so obvious as it was right by the door, I guess they didn't have time to clean it up. The room was not well stocked with just 1/4 of a roll of TP. I parked near the auxiliary generator and when I loaded the car in the morning it was in test mode so I was "exhausted" with diesel fumes. (Don't know why it gets tested at 8:15 am instead of 2:00 pm.) Although I was slightly turned off by these things the dog knew nothing about them and if he could talk I'm sure he would want to stay here again.

Average but Lacking

Spark By Hilton Winchester

You’ll need to bring a carpet with rubber backing if your dog wants to jump on the couch or the bed because the floor is not carpeted. Also very hot in the hallway and hot in the room with the heater turned off (in December) and we had to run the AC. Better than some hotels for dogs but not that great overall. Three bones for the pandemic but would have been two bones otherwise.
