Recently renovated
Comfort Inn Las Vegas New MexicoCompared to a review a couple years ago, I suspect that it has had some renovations. Our room was updated & clean. The shower was fine but was a tub shower not a walk-in. Everyone was nice. They even had nachos & cookies for snacks in the evening. Normal hotel breakfast. Yeah, maybe the price was a bit higher than typical but for whatever reason when we were there, all the hotels were sold out by the end of the night so there is that supply & demand theory.

Nice place, good location
Equus Inn OcalaNice place, had been updated & looks very modern. Had a good location with restaurants located nearby. Plenty of area to walk your dog, just not in the courtyard. Good breakfast. I had never heard of Equus so it was a pleasant surprise.

WOW, it was perfect!
La Quinta by Wyndham TrinidadThis place was a nice surprise & perfect for dog owners. Very clean modern rooms. Nice dog area with good lighting & poop bags & disposal bin. And dog cookies at the dog door to the dog area. Great for people too. Good breakfast with more choices than than the usual fare. I will be stopping here again.

2nd room a lot better than the 1st
Best Western Lafayette Inn1st room was freezing, turned AC off assuming we would let the room warm up then adjust the settings. Wrong, AC was either on continuously or off. The toilet was sluggish then not flushing a while later. And the dead bolt lock did not work. We finally gave up & complained & thankfully the 2nd room was OK. Dog fee was higher than most & no outdoor dog are set up. Guess I would try a different motel should I end up there again.

Not so good area
Quality Inn Calhoun North I-75Close to I-75 but area not so good. No good area to walk your dog. No restaurants at that exit. Rooms could use an update but it was clean & staff was nice.

Great place to stay with dog
Candlewood Suites Columbia East an IHG HotelClean & comfortable rooms with kitchen. Very helpful staff. Good grassy outdoor area for dogs with poop bags & disposal bin. No breakfast but has kitchen & plenty of places nearby to eat or get food.

Nice place to stay with a dog
Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Deming Mimbres Valley an IHG HotelRoom was very clean. The hotel was quiet. There was adequate lighting out side to walk a dog in the dark. The was plenty of area to walk but mostly pavement or dirt, not much grass if your dog wants grass, but it is southern New Mexico! Mine dog doesn’t care!
