NOLA City Bark is New Orleans' premier off-leash dog park and includes 4.6 landscaped acres in beautiful City Park with separate play areas for small and big dogs, double entrance gates, water fountains for dogs and humans, shade pavilions, an event lawn, Mutt Mitts for clean-up, on-site restrooms, and a .25-mile walking trail. The property is bounded by Zachary Taylor Drive, Diagonal Drive, and Magnolia Drive. You'll find NOLA City Bark behind Popp Fountain. Permits are required to use the park. Temporary permits are available for visitors to New Orleans.

Waterfront Park

Along Lakeshore Drive in Mandeville, LA there is a nice park on the shore of Lake Pontchartrain. The park covers over a mile of lake frontage, and has paved walking paths, as well as several large grass play areas. Additionally there are park benches, a gazebo, swing sets and jungle gyms for kids as well as many shady spots under large beautiful oak trees. There is an entrance to the harbor at one end of the park and several restaurants and pubs across the street. The park is a very popular place for people to play with their dogs or take them for walks. There are also doggie poop bag dispensers at a few places in the park. The park is free, open all hours, and there is ample parking along on the park side of the street which is also free.

City Park

This 1,300 acre park in the heart of New Orleans isn't a dog park, per se, but leashed pets are allowed. The park sustained considerable damage from Hurricane Katrina in 2005, but due to dedicated restoration efforts, the park is open and ready for your visit. Check out great attractions like the Botanical Gardens, a golf driving range, tennis courts, a sculpture garden, Storyland (a fairytale theme park for kids), and a 13 acre full-service horse riding stable.
